khati

hi folks, i found this board not too long ago and can easily say it has been one of the most helpful things for me.  i've been devouring the wealth of information and have already started my own transition plan.  thanks to the info here, the first thing i did was get a gender therapist and this is helping immensely.  today i just finished up epilating my legs and some of my chest and (poorly) shaving the groin for the first time.  i'm only out to my therapist and now to you all.  im still dreading the talk with the spouse and kid.  thanks for all the info and conversations you all have posted.  i only have a  couple questions.  are you still obsessed with your gender?  i can't stop thinking about gender and what will be and, while it is nice to fantasize, i hope at least the constant drum beat of gender slows down a bit.  second, does the self-doubt every stop for you?  thanks again, khati

Denise

Obsessed with gender?  Dan is and thinks about it constantly.  Denise never thinks about it.

It's the strangest thing.  When I present as Denise the constant "pounding" isn't there.  I feel comfortable and totally at ease.
Dan has constant pressure to be "alpha" or always in control.  Denise doesn't have any of that and the gender monster is gone.

However and this is important, most of the anger of my Dysphoria went away with the Spiro in about 3 days from starting it.
