Hi folks!

I'm not really new here, but it's been a long time since I've posted, and I kinda want to get back into it.

Things have changed since I last posted but I'll give you a brief rundown.

I'm a genderqueer transfemme dad with a wife and two little ones. I'm in the last semester of seminary and will hopefully be an ordained pastor in a mainline Christan denomination sooner than later.

I started HRT in November on a low and slow plan to help with the dysphoria. It's coming along nicely.

I'm from Minnesota, and am interested in ministry to communities outside of the Twin Cities. We'll see what happens.

Thanks for being you. In these dark times, we all need a place to come together. Susan's was there when I started this journey. Now I return, publicly out and in a much better place than when I started.

how is the politics in Minn?

I am curious with all the scary politics going round and knowing the isolation of some parts of Minn

Even this year, Minnesota is still a reasonably purplish state. We're the only state to never vote for Reagan.

This year was an anomaly, but I would say the urban areas are more liberal than the rural areas, in general.

But it's also fairly religious, but diverse in that religiosity. It's one of those states without a majority denomination. It's not mostly Catholic, Lutheran, Presbyterian, etc, but diverse in even their Christan thought.

So, to answer your question, politics in MN are diverse as the people.

Are you kidding? Last time your state voted republican was 1972 and that was for Nixon's second term!

In any case, I remember you from before and it appears that you are making progress. I am not worried about the future. People are basically good and if things get to far out of hand, the people will know it's wrong even if our government doesn't. I may be a bit optimistic but I remember much of the cold war with the end of the earth as we know it hanging over head every day. We survived that and I am sure we can deal with this as long as we don't give in to fear.

I couldn't remember even the last time they went red was... But unfortunately, this year got a little too close for comfort...

But thanks for the optimism, we all need that. I was born right before the last wall fell, but watching some of those 80s movies, that makes sense. Perspective is helpful indeed.
