Hey all! I must say 2017 is going really good for me so far. Still got a lot of work to do and things are still all over place in life. But for the last little bit, a week or 2 i have been feeling really good. I would even consider not joining the military at this point of time if i had other means of financing myself. But i have been living as a girl full time again, getting out with friends more and am not full of self doubt and other horrible things as i was for most of 2016. So far, good year !! how has 2017 been treating the rest of you!?

2017 - great.

Feeling good, things are moving forward.  About to go on a 12 day pseudo vacation as Denise in prep for full time in 4 weeks 1 day 2 hours 50 minutes.  But who's counting.

Well. My life been more or less catastrophic. Teenage son depressed with depressed gf who did a very bad thing twice and can't walk anymore. Among other things. I am supporting them and at the same time trying to find out who I am. I am myself, but my marriage is in geopardy if I out myself. 

I thought 2016 was bad. This year has started off much worse.

Best year of my life so far, underway with HRT and feeling better about myself each day. Meeting awesome new people on here too, whats not to like about me in 2017

If January is anything to go by, 2017 is going to be an awesome year.  I had my HRT appointments, checked out healthier than average, so I started both spiro and E together, and will be increasing my dosage fairly quickly.

And got addressed (along with my wife) as "ladies". 

Also started electrolysis today (ouch).  As they say, the sooner, the better.

Frustrating but not terrible.

My geraniums have awoken from their long winter sleep and started to blossom again.

2017 is starting to shape up well;I've been getting more confident using the men's room, getting called sir, sadly haven't given up cigs yet but trying!

Glad to hear for the most part things are good for most of you!! sorry to the others who are struggling :/, hope it gets better quickly!

Catastrophic! My mother read my journals and found out that I'm trans and didn't take it well whatsoever. I wouldn't say that it is completely bad but it has been wild.

On the bright side, I'm going to be skyping a gender therapist with my school counselor.

I was offered a referral for speech therapy (MtF).  Who knows, this might be the year I finally become a passable old lady!

On one hand - Serves her right! On the other hand, it might have taught her to respect other's privacy.

I am sorry that has happened to you, but on the bright side you've opened a line of communications with your mom.  That's a very important early step and you are not living on the street.  So maybe Congratulations are in order.
