When Did Your Stache Come In?

I'm 4 years on T and just recently noticed that I have some hair growing up on my jaw line. Year 3-4 is when I really noticed how quickly my chin, stache, and side burns grow. Every couple of day I use an eletric razor made for beards to clean up up my side burns and a weird neck beard I have going on. Over all my hair has grown in very akwardly, finally out of the pube stash phase. I now sport more of a goatee, for some reason having a glimpse of a goatee and shorter head hair actually makes me look my age (22) and not 15.

Over 7 years on T and I'm STILL waiting for my stache to come in!

The rest of my beard comes in fine, but the stache is still embarrassingly sparse and I have none of the connecting hairs that attach the mustache to the beard. By the end of no shave November I'm pretty much rocking the Abraham Lincoln look lol

Little less than 2 months and my chin is starting to show growth and a bit on the stache. Light color, but then again at almost 50 i am almost fully grey on top so i see "just for men" in my future if I want actual visable stubble or actual beard/stache

I'd been dyeing my hair since 19, I didn't even know its real color proper until I let it grow out earlier this year. I was a blond kid - like almost Scandinavian looking, but somewhere down the line it became some weird shade of muddy, random-mammal brown. I still dye it to clean it up a bit. But it turned out much darker than I remember which was some unexpected bonus.

took about a year (on T for over 2 years)  for my mustache to be dark. My facial hair is still trying to grow and it's a bit patchy but I can grow a little messy goatee. I used a lot of beard oils and what not to help keep it soft.

I'm upset that I have no body hair :p. I have like 4 hairs for a happy trail and very small blonde hairs on my chest. I'm 31 and get asked if I'm 19-20.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I dunno.

YEARS lol. I had a nice Amish beard forever and finally just started getting a 'stache (I'm 8 years on T). My cis brother was the same way though

I plucked my moustache and my eyebrows heavily for twenty years in an effort to look as "girly" as possible, so I don't expect they will ever grow back in--and I'm closing in on two years on T. Wicked bummer.

It's a shame, too, because the body hair elsewhere is...shall we say...robust.

I've got a pretty fuzzy upper lip corner patch nice and blond and some fuzzy side burn areas pre-T but no noticeable sign of real growth. Have you guys found that Pre-T hair became the first place to get real facial hair growth once on T?

I thought that's how it would go, but it didn't for me. I had the most fuzz on my jaw and cheeks, but the thickest, coarsest, fullest hair has come in on my chin. My cheeks have filled in but that was much slower than my chin (where I had almost no hair pre-t).

huh, it seems like almost everyone had the most earliest growth on their chin and under jaw area. I'll have to keep an eye out on that because I have zero hair there at the moment. Not that I could probably see it, I'm so damn blond 😂

Does it get itchy where it appears because the skin feels kind of sensitive or something in the region where sideburns come in at either side, though there's nothing to see there.

My SO just told me to go shave because it looks different there, I think he's just saying it or joking. I see nothing there. The area does feel kinda weird though if I touch it in a direction "against the grain". Eh, it's probably nothing.

Both my father and grandfather have mustaches, but nothing else. I'm in the same boat. It may just be in your genes that you won't grow one. At this point it's still wispy (not super coarse like most facial hair), but it's definitely noticeable. Probably started seeing it around 1 year on T.

Mine is still having trouble growing in. The rest of the beard grows fine but that dang mustache is still trying it's best. Both sides of my family had really nice mustaches and my brother can grow a great one. I have the pattern for it. Just gotta wait.
I've found you, Beast!

I can see the shadow of my stache. It's definitely noticeable and even. But the hairs are so short and thin that it can't be described as a mustache yet. My chin comes in fast and thick. A few sparse hairs under the bottom lip. Cheeks have a good amount of hair but it looks more like face pubes. I'm eager for the day that they all meet each other and become a blended family.

Hmm, I have some isolated whiskers coming in but in pretty random places on the sides. Nothing on my chin really yet. But it grows fast. End of being able to be lazy with shaving the face, I guess. Unless I decide to grow some in. Which I might just.

Did the first ones come in randomly for anyone else, or did they stick to specific areas for a while? I could swear a few seemed to appear, then disappear from that location.

My face feels kinda rough. Like the ultra fine wet-type sandpaper, which is weird. But to be expected. If the hairs are changing, I suppose the skin is changing too.

It's all genes and your androgen levels play a massive part (I swear all androgens do is make you ridiculously hairy and bald). I always had a faint stash since I was roughly 16 and Id shave it because I was trying to present female. But I had PCOS which caused me to have much higher than average androgen levels. Also I'm mostly German and English which if you've ever met an English woman, it's not unusual for them to have a porn stash that they shave if it's dark.

So i guess for me personally technically when I was 16? Right now I'm hoping my beard gets thicker so I can grow it into a majestic lumberjack beard.
