HI,
So I meet with Dr. Repta- Scottsdale. My main topic for him was Breast Augmentation. But also wanted to get his opinion on what would best for FFS. Eye brow lift, Rhinoplasty, and lip lift. I like him, feel comfortable with him and staff, I don't believe he has a lot of transgender clients but was non issue.  He also mentioned that he would not touch my chin or jaw. Which is a relief, because I didn't really know where I stand with that. I would definitely go to him for breast and rhinoplasty. But feel I need more forehead work.

The next day I went to see Dr. Keojampa. As many of you know not whole lot on him or reviews. My first thought staff seems friendly, fast response, any question I had were answered in very short time. When I first got there and meet the Dr. we just talked for a short time about me, how long have I been considering this. Some more basic questions. I felt more comfortable as time went on. He told me some of background and past experience with Type III. Then we went and took Xrays. We went over them and showed me the difference with mine and what a CIS female look like. Took some measurements. Then he went over step by step of the surgery. I told him what I thought would be best, then he did. He said Type III forehead and rhinoplasty with lip lift. That would my best option for feminization. I didn't feel that he tried to over sell me on any unnecessary procedures. There was a lot of information, he didn't rush the consultation. I would definitely consider him. I am waiting back with the cost.

I plan on doing one more consult. Then I will make my decision.

Hi,

So I think I am going to have Type III forehead and rhinoplasty.  My question is for those of you that have had type III. What is the recover like. Do you stay overnight, days in the hospital. Do you need someone with you. I know what the  Dr said. But would like to know what others have done before. Thank you

This is major surgery -- I was in hospital for a week, though I also had jaw and chin work done at the same time, but it was the forehead and nose that really left me feeling battered. I was basically incapacitated for at least five days, and as it turned out I needed more pain meds (and an anti-anxiety med, too) the second night after surgery than what they initially anticipated, so I'm very glad I wasn't off on my own right away.

While most FFS surgeons will have you off to a recovery house or suite a couple days after surgery, it's still good to have someone with you for that first week.

It takes a good couple of months after this surgery to start feeling normal again, and it won't be until 3 months before you can really start to see what your final results will be like, because it takes a while for all the swelling to subside.  But it's all worth it, as far as I'm concerned -- the way people look at you will forever change.
What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it.
