Hi all,

my first post here, and I'll kinda do both - introduce my self, and ask some questions.
So, my name is Dan... Danny, Just another D. You choose :) And for some time I have been looking around, articles and forums, to get as much information as possible regarding transitioning, taking hormones and so on. I haven't yet decided to go see a doctor because I prefer to get a bit more extensive info, so I can ask adequate questions, and understand what he/she is talking about. And even though not recomended, I'm also not excluding the possibility to go on my own.

I'd like to get more feminine body that I have at the moment, "kill" the muscles, and get a bit more softer forms, spread fats on my butt and legs. I'm not sure if you understand what I mean, but if not, I'll try to be more detailed. Trying not to make it like a novel.

I was wondering what type of medications should I go for?

I actually don't insist developing breasts at all.

The medications I posted are just an example, you may decide that something else, other brand might be better. I assume in this case would be relevant to mention that body changes really fast. I just bought it may be relevant.

If i missed something, I'll come back later and add it. So, I guess I'll stop here, and thank you all for the help and advice.

Welcome to Susan's Place. What you are asking should be undertaken with a doctors assistance. When I transition, we went with cook book treatment where you took a certain dosage and that was it. The results were unpredictable and my results were dismal. Today the blood tests not only check your health state but they include checks on your hormone levels. This allows a blocker to cut your testosterone levels to feminine levels while producing a estrogen level at the desired level of feminization. Not everybody on the site wants maximum feminization so low dose is an option that many use. Without this feed back, you may have no development or you may over respond.

Once you have the proper testosterone levels most will see a reduction in muscle mass so proper guidance from a doctor is required to obtain the best results with the minimal medication.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

D -

I, like Dena, suggest NOT doing it on your own with medications.

I knew I was "different" for many decades and, like you, wanted a more feminine figure.  So at 45 I started losing weight with diet and aerobic only workouts.  I bike a lot in the summer.  The other thing I did was NO carbs for about a month then learned to keep the quantity of food down.  Basically I ate healthier and did light heart-rising workouts.

It took 2 years and 25 pounds (170 - 145 lbs, about 1 pound per month) but I always felt I was moving towards a goal and I felt good. When wearing tight clothes (spandex type) my figure was that of a woman with AAA breasts.

I can't say it will work for you, but it did for me.

I also suggest NOT taking any pharmas that are not prescribed by a doctor.  Please, your long term health is at risk.

I'm echoing the you want a doctor looking at blood levels and prescribing too.

The only thing I can add. You really can't completely focus on hips but not breasts. Everyone reacts and redistributes differently. If you want to re-sculpt your body, you might more want to focus on a designed work out regiment.

Welcome to the site.

Thank you all for the advice, and thank you for the links Dena!

To be honest, shortly after I posted my questions, and I should have asked about herbal supplements providing estrogen and blocking testosterone.

Denise, I guess it's pretty much the same situation here, so I'm starting with some workout, I really want to start yoga as well, and will help it a bit with herbals which might help.

Johanna50, I didn't mean no breasts. If they grow ok, and if not, I'm not going to miss them.

And again, thank you for the advice and support :)

Herbals and supplement come in two categories. Most are pretty well useless and produce little or no results. The remainder can be very dangerous and we have posted stickies warnings about these in the HRT section. You may not discuss the herbals contained in the stickies. In addition, sometimes an older herbal will be renamed to escape the reputation it earned. The no discussion rule applies to the new name as well as the old one.

Thanks Dina!

I screwed it up again, I'm sorry about it.
I'll go check the threads regarding herbs, but it seems like most people's opinion - little to no effect.
