New milestone for me - I dressed up as a woman, went for a road trip 3 hours from my home.  Spend 2 days dressed as a woman in a few different outfits and no male clothes along - stopped for food several times, checked into a hotel, and went shopping several places.  It was awesome!   I was most worried about showing my ID at the hotel - the clerk asked if it was my husband's ID and I said, no it was old.  Nobody gave me any trouble.  Brought along a really cute white dress and took some great photos at a park.

Really wish I could go full time.  :(

  Hi Jenny,
I'm Jeanette. All I have to say is AWESOME!! I've logged many hundreds,  no thousands of miles en femme. In all thousands of miles I've only stopped at gas stations a few times (self serve) and only had to pay a cashier only once. I was terrified! I was pulled over by a cop once too late one night. He asked if I was out looking to find a good time.

So far I can't even imagine me doing what you relate,

   You go girl!!

   Hugs,
    Jeanette

  Hi Jenny,

   You go girl!!
Cute dress and nice picture. It might be a little much for a walk in the woods though. Then again it's difficult to beat the privacy and peace of the woods. I've been known to use serene places to appease my girly cravings before.

  Hugs,
   Jeanette

Whoops, try this one:

Of course I didn't go hiking dressed like this, silly!  Just looking for a good background\lighting for photos.  If I was going hiking, I would be wearing spandex.

Road trips are fun and scary at the same time. I've driven a 18 wheeler dressed and had many advertures dressed.

I love road trips. Once I travelled en-femme from Arizona to Chicago along Rt 66. I did not even bother (or did not have an opportunity) to dress fully - only light skirt, 40C boobs, nice femme t-shirt, no wig (but with a bandanna) and no makeup other than lipstick. I stopped at gas stations to eat and refuel, or to go to a restroom (oh, sometimes they were full and I had to stay in line). Sometimes I just stopped to breath some air or to see a place and been seen.

I only had 2 negative experiences during this trip. Once a group of lads drove by when I was resting outside a gas station and one guy shouted something towards me. I just looked at him, smiled and let them go. My thought was at the time that it is the most insecure of all group who would want to do that. (And the fact that the gas station was full with many other people made me feel totally secure).

Another negative experience I had, happened in Illinois. Only there, for the first time in my life, a male bathroom attendant wanted me to go to the men's room. Well, tough luck for him, I just ignored him and went to a stall and did my business. On my way out, he wanted to harass me and I told him, that I am a transgender and there's a law allowing us to use ether room and if he interferes with my needs to peacefully use the public facilities, I'll bring ACLU and sue him, his manager, the whole department and state of IL. That was a lie as we all know, but it gave him enough benefit of a doubt to shut up (and I did not ask his permission to use the facility, I was already out and on my way).

All other experiences on that trip were totally awesome! I had lots of positive conversations with many different people (I was a bit concerned about Texas, or Missouri - but nope, I got just fine with everyone there). I had wonderful time.

I went hiking and sometimes even backpacking, dressed like this :) It always went really well, never had any problems. Well, some people did not like me, they would demonstrate it by turning away from me and ignoring my presence. I don't hold it against them, they might have some other problems going in their life. I had many more positive comments and conversations though. And it all was a great experience for me and feeling of freedom, to go out enfemme not only in my room, or a safe environment, but actually on a hike where you could meet any kind of person, and get people being mostly supportive and complimenting me. The only thing though... When hiking, don't wear heels, your feet must be comfortable, or you will have to go back much earlier than you anticipated.

Yes.

I also sometimes drive for several hours in the mainland, especially in summer. Here at my home town, the max. driving time is < 2 hours, as it is an island. In summer, I can wear bikini in the car or even in public.

Just do it.

I have to share also about last Summer, I drove for 3 days en femme - from SW to the NW of United States.  It was awesome.

I am currently going through a "withdrawl" as I am taking time off from work and thus cannot cross-dress because I am home all the time.  My wife does not approve.  Sometimes I feel very jealous of the gyrls on this list because I cannot go full time and that's what I want more than anything.  I don't now how to resolve this and it is driving me a little crazy.

Have to add -  I went to a comicon this weekend and there was so many cross-dressers there, I must have seen at least 40.  Including someone dressed as "11" with a beard.  It was entertaining, but it made me really depressed because the people in my life don't accept it and I couldn't join in the fun.  I am really down about it, not sure what I can do.

This is how I managed to muster up the courage to go into public the first time. I travel several times a year from where I currently live to visit family about 4 hours from home. I dressed to travel but would stop and change back to male clothes before I would get to my destination. So far, the only times I have had to stop were for gas and I pay at the pump. So the only people that would be around me were others pumping gas. Then I started stopping at rest areas along the interstate and I would get out and just walk around then leave. I never had the courage to enter the rest room. When I started doing this was about five years ago, prior to things being a little more open than they are now.

Once I pulled out my old CB radio and put it in the car. That trip I had on a mini denim skirt and short top with bra. Its interesting to hear what the truckers say if they happen to notice you as you pass! That was a fun trip!

Yes, that is exactly how I logged many many miles myself. Anonymous and fun.
