Congratulations Veda.  I like what Jane Emily has on her profile about HRT being the arrival of a rainbow in her body.  I recall my first week on HRT and feeling a bit flat but that soon gave way to about 8 months of near constant euphoria as we get to revel in the changes.  Oh what a feeling of being right and free from the BS of "acting" like someone or something we are not.

Thanks Tessa.

It's only been 3 days, and I'm on a low dose to start, so I haven't felt much physically yet.  I'm much more relaxed, but that may be due to "being right and free from the BS of "acting" like someone or something I am not." :)

I've also quit smoking so that may mask some of the effects, a positive is that it is not as hard to quit as it has been in the past.
Now that I can be me.

I went out for brunch with my wife and a friend today, they call me 'Dee' when out, so very nice.  I even brought my purse, which admittedly looks more like a messenger bag, but still. :)

Congratulations!  It is difficult to recognize any effects early on from the HRT.  I'm pretty sure most of my initial changes were in my head due to the reduced anxiety from starting my transition.  I'm still looking daily for changes occurring, but I finally realize what others have been saying in the forums, sit back and enjoy the ride...you'll get there.

So very true and remember that generally YMMV, the older you are the slower the changes are to get going, but once they start the changes are constant enough to easily notice ... :)
