Did anyone lose interest in a lot of their hobbies once they began transition? I did and it scared me a bit. I use to study apps and software incessantly and now it is just part of what i do to make money, there is no real hobby interest there. I collected model trains and have a big collection, since then i have barely touched it or picked up a periodical.

I still love sports and mountaineering though and the rest of my free time seems to be about exercise and fashion.

Robyn, when people start to work for a living in what used to be a hobby, they often lose interest in it as a hobby.  It's no longer a recreational activity, as it becomes a way to earn a living.  We generally need a different activity for recreation than we do for work.

Often other hobbies fall by the wayside as new activities enter our lives, both as work and mon-work activities.  Transition acts as another activity, taking the place of hobby stuff.  I find I'm not tinkering with electronics as much, and am more involved in social activities now that I am no longer a hermit.  :)
Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

Michelle that makes perfect sense. Transition sure does consume a lot of cycles, there are times i mentally sort of count that out.

BTW, love that new Avatar picture!

Cosmetology school is out then! LOL. I was considering this for a brief second (on and off with tattoo artist; but vanilla jobs with benefits is kind "of" safer?) .

I love dogs equally to cats but most people seem to have a preference, all my female relatives prefer cats to dogs.
i used to prefer cats, but while i don't really have a distinct preference now, i'd say i lean more toward dogs.
