Hey friends! Today was my first day on testosterone! I am so excited for the changes to come, so I was wondering approximately how low your voice dropped? When singing I am a low tenor, almost high baritone (which is my voice pre-t), so I was wondering if it's fair to expect it to drop around an octave, maybe a little less? I'd love to be a low baritone-bass, but wasn't sure if that was probable. My voice is very low for a typical female and I have been able to pass for a man for the past several years, even on the phone! I'm so excited for these changes haha any response would be appreciated :)

I found the more test I took the deeper my voice got but when I went back to my Hrt dose my  Voice back up went up somewhat but it still deeper than before I started so yes it will get deeper :)

I would say we probably started out the same pitch, I was always a low tenor in school too. I am certainly a middle baritone now 2 months in. I am not sure if I will get down to bass but I do expect to keep dropping over the next 6 months or so. I don't think I'd like my voice to change so far as to a bass but I'll take what I'm given.

Here's a link to my tumblr where I have an audio of my voice pre-t to 1 month on T. It has dropped quite a bit since then.

Although I can't sing for crap I can more comfortably reach notes an octave below than before HRT. Before, I couldn't reach some of them at all. And my voice cracks and breaks when I try to reach the high notes I could before. I can't get the sound out on those any more.
