There is new surgeon in the transgender community or at least he just start to shine to the western community

Dr kaushik is indian surgeon he do srs and breast augmentation along with ffs

I'm interesting to ask about his ffs specially the forehead shaving and nose jobs

His prices are very nice and the results that he shows in his website is quite satisfied

But I don't seems to found someone who dose ffs with him and sharing their experiences with us .!

I hope to hear your thoughts about him and if someone did ffs with him or knowing someone who did :D

Thanks xoxo ❤️[emoji182]

Hi Rose,

I am in confusion too, I have heard from one of the friend about Dr Kaushik, Since than I am researching out the things about him. I had a skype consultation with him and he showed me some results, I am soon planning to visit him in person and see how it works out.

I heard of another surgeon in India as well who does this.

I can imagine India is becoming the new Thailand  - I mean in the late 1990ies and early 2000s people started to realize that Thailand has great surgeons who can offer cheaper prices because of their location while still being very modern and skilled. Maybe India is the next thing - I hear there are many thousands of transgender women in India as well, although not as well accepted as in Thailand. But just by being a country of a billion people, India must have some good surgeons for the upper class trans community there and their technology generally is advanced - people here in Germany like to hire IT personnel from India because they are so skilled. But it is cheap because its India, so even a upper class surgeon there, usually doing his work only for the top 1% of Indian people is probably still more affordable than anyone in Europe and definitely than anyone in USA (which is besides Japan maybe, the most expensive country for surgeries).

Sadly as it was with Thailand in the 1990ies, experiences from westerners with those surgeons are very limited and one is basically a pioneer to go there. A bit like some 4 years ago, it was a pioneering effort to go to Yeson for the voice and even 2 years ago when I was there, it was still something exotic and new, but slowly taking hold - the idea to go to Korea for voice surgery because it is better than in Europe or USA.

Hi Lily! Curious as to what city you were working in? Have been hearing good things about a different surgeon in Mumbai than Rose mentioned in the first post. Although have read similar travel comments to avoid the water & not eating things from the street carts.

Hey rose!

I am in the final stages of deciding on an FFS Surgeon myself at the moment and I decided to broaden tye selection a bit so I also contacted Dr. Olmec for at least an evaluation.

What was it that made you decide to go with him I'm the end?

Hi Alexis, I was in New Delhi. I spent a week in Mumbai and it is a bit more advanced but
it's still India. And I had to get all kinds of vaccinations just to go there. You have no idea what you're getting into until you're there. I had to get a Hep A and B series or my company would not send me. Why hep A? In case I needed medical care while there, because their healthcare standard are so low and subpar that my dr said if you need any form of heathcare there from a cut to god forbid surgery and you don't get the vaccines you are almost guaranteed hepatitis A at minimum.

A good rule of thumb, if you have to get vaccines to just go to the country, the last thing you should do is have surgery there. I was praying every day I didn't get into a car accident and require surgery. And car accidents are far, far more likely there. Please just google it and get informed about India.

One more important note about India. Especially Mumbai and Delhi...it's a very, very dangerous place to be as a woman. As a trans woman, it's extremely dangerous.

India is not Argentina or Spain or even Thailand. Please don't be lured by the low cost.

Mod Edit- No bashing Please TOS 10

Much appreciate the info Lily. Have only seen a couple of the results via photos & obviously the cost was icing. But wanted to see more(much more) & had been thinking there may be more to the lower costs associated. Thanks again.

I would not give too much on the look of the city around . Chonburi or Bangkok are not really the nicest cities either. In Bangkok there are clinics that do GRS and trans surgeries for 2000$ and the surgery prep room is also the lunch time room with pizza boxes in it. But then they have the clinics for the rich and for the westerners that are clean and hygienic. I would thus say that it is possible that in India it is the same. Of course if you get in an accident in India, they will get you to the nearest hospital, but if you go there for an elective surgery, you can pick one that is up to western standards. In these countries there is a huge variety of qualities for everything. You can eat for a few cents and get GRS for a few 100 bucks or you can pay 80 times as much and expect a different quality. There is a huge divide there between poor and rich and most are poor. As westerner you will always be rich there and live in their eqivalent of a 5 Star Hotel and a celebrety clinic in which you may meet bollywood stars :D

So do not go there careless, but with the thought that it may be sub par - but if it is not, I do not see the state of the city around the clinic as a reason to fly home again, if the clinic itself is good. It would have to be checked though - maybe do a in person consultation at the clinic and have a look

Hello Ladies,

Contrary to what has been said about Delhi and Mumbai, I have had an excellent transition here. I stayed in Delhi from Nov 2015 to Jan 2017 and transitioned there before moving to Bangalore, India. I don't see how this place is unsafe, when I have never been disrespected, treated differently or had any issues. Yes, there have been some people looking at me, but none has ever laughed or stared. It's always safe not to walk alone during night time though.

I do agree regarding hygiene and it is best to get all your vaccinations done.

As far as Olmec goes, I have shared my experiences in the following thread which was originally regarding my SRS, but had a glimpse of my FFS - Forehead reconstruction experience.

https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,216687.msg1953127.html#msg1953127

As mentioned in the post, I am happy with the results. I however pointed out that it would have been great, if more time was dedicated during consultation and clearing doubts, which was done, though not as much as I would have liked. Besides, I underwent my surgeries in 3 different phases maintaining a gap. For me to have gone to the same surgeon does prove some point. And I surely ain't someone to settle for less. My father used to insist me to go to Chettawut for SRS and Yeson for Voice, as these surgeries are for lifetime, so money wasn't really much of an issue. He was convinced however after our first consultation with Dr. Narendra and the results of the first surgery (I decided to to SRS first).

I have heard good reviews if Dr. Parag Telang (Designer Bodyz) in Mumbai. There is a review posted on realself and the results were amazing.
Hugs,

Yashika
