Heey everyone! I made this long post like last week were I said I wouldnt be on this site much these days and i will still probably be absent more often then normal but just so many good developments have been happening latley and I am unsure where else to blabber on about the positivity :)!! First, i have decided that when I make my move to Manitoba I want the real me to totally kick in, so I already have therapists waiting for me, and I have reached to an LGBT group :)!! 2, i have been getting gendered correctly for the what seems to be so un-normal. Usurally, I get odd looks and often referred to as ''he'' which kills the ego and soul. However, i have been gendered correctly TWICE in the last two days :D!! I could understand today as I did my hair, got good make-up on and had my good clothes on. Mama and I were walking out the door from Walmart and the greeter who looked into our bags (the alarm went off but all the good were paid for, hate when that happens) said ''have a good day ladies''.. I was cheerful :). Yestarday was a suprise tho, I was wearing my regular grocery store uniform so of course I am used to being misgendered or appearing androgynous at best. However, working in the bakery (a great job I will miss when i leave by the way) we give out cookies to the little ones, and one of the mothers said something lto her child like ''Did you thank her?'' I was so overwhemled. It felt too good. The thing is, these people were calling me female and it didnt even seemed forced out of their mouths either. it was so nice :)!!!

Update on the move:  The walls are being re-painted, my mom and step dad are due to be flying west to Manitoba to look at houses I beleive sometime in May for our move in July. I have been pondering going to College but the good new is the city where I will be living has a lot of factory jobs still. Shall apply :)

Love ya all <3- Ashley!

Ashley, it sounds like you are doing very well.  Congrats on being gendered correctly, and big bonus points for reaching out to your destination and preparing for some support and aid there, as well as checking out the job and school situation.

I think that is actually a smart, mature move on your part.  I hope you can find many happy days ahead.

Congratulations, again, and of course hugs,
Michelle

Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

Dont be fooled totally , I have had a couple bad days in there but all of a sudden the good just swept in and like just makes me know things are good. I relieze that I do matter, and I know I am strong. I also learned that even when I have doubts I am very much dysphroic . I mean just a couple days ago my mind wandered to the old life and male living and my body instantly tenses up just by that thought followed by my tummy making noises and it became upset too :/...... So wierd. So even though i still get these intrusive thoughts they are sub-siding and I am still very much living as the real me and moving foward:)!! I also found that the more i am able to live as me my other intrestes are allowed to re-surface!! I found my super intrest in politics has came back and am thinking clearly (thanks Ashley xD lol) Still havent found my fav non-political hobbie yet however  lol xD

Welcome back sweetie. Anytime anyone IDs me as female is a great day. Cripes, it's a lot of work for me. But it's worth it. I'm such a cool, relaxed female ... it's who I am. :)
