I've been seeing that more brands seem to be carrying bra sizes that work for my real body shape, so 40-B bras. Things like camisoles I can reasonably fit are harder, panties are of course easier, I'm looking forward to no more having to tuck the wrong body parts into feminine cut.

I'm curious what people like for practical as well as for pretty.

I don't have a fav. I just go to a place like kohls,Jc penny's, or forever 21 to buy my bras and I go off of what they look like and not the brand.

That's what I do if I'm in a store but I do 95% of my clothing purchases online so I can't not know the brands :-)

You may want to update the survey because I buy from here and non of the brands are listed here.

Hanes, Playtex, Glamorize are all available under the same website. Prices are good and they always have my size in stock.

I love victoria secret, but I am not a slave to one brand, I will buy what ever is nice.

I love to wear lingerie, and have quite a large collection. I spend too much time in lingerie stores. My fav store on-line is yandy.com.

Simply for their accessibility, VS was my go to for many years. The problem always was that in an A cup they virtually never had anything in a band size larger than 36 and on the rare occasion that they would have a 38 band it would be only available in C or larger cup size. Today they have some selection in 38B but once you get to the 40 band that begins to be comfortable for me it's only C cup and mostly D or larger.

So now that other brands are making sizes I actually fit, I haven't bought from VS in 3+ years.

I make most of my purchases at barenecessities.com and go to a local upscale shop a couple of times a year where i usually find the things that appeal and fit are the same brands I like best from barenecessities -- elle MacPherson and Wacoal get most of my $ these days.

At that local shop the proprietress is always welcoming and friendly, unfortunately some of her staff clearly don't want me in the shop.

I'm with Dena on this one.  I like several of the Bali styles, generally Hanes is a good source includes Maidenform as well.

I shop at Lasenza and wear a 38b which fits me perfectly. I do shop at the bay and pretty much anywhere else that has something comfy and fits. Lots of good brands out there and I always look for the sales.

Cant have enough frillies.

Herroom has an immense online selection, most major brands.  Really nice to deal with, very helpful sales force available by phone as well.

Most of mine come from Victoria's Secret.  I love their front close push up bras and get the matching panties.  They really help to make the girls stand out.

I really love mini boxers from Björn Borg! But with bra's, I like Abecita. Their soft bra's are comfy to wear!

I don't see Jockey and Hanes listed as choices.  They started out as male underwear brands but now have more female than male choices.

I wear Jockey Elance cotton panties for three reasons: (1) they have a wider crotch panel which allows for better coverage and retention; (2) they don't have the frontal pouch of the male styles; (3) my wife is agreeable with me wearing them but would not be supportive of the traditional female brands and styles.

Heh!  Yeah, "None of the above".

Jockey elance for everyday wear, with nice breathable cotton.  When I need an industrial strength tuck (as for TSA checkpoints and some pant or skirts) my favorites are Bali cotton + spandex high waist light control briefs, which have a comfortably wide gusset.

On top i like the Warner No Side Effects wire free contour bra, both comfortable and good protection for those sensitive bits.  I sometimes layer up with Calvin Kline tanks.

Hey, I have to wear this stuff all day, every day, so I'm definitely going for comfort first. Besides, I'm 63.  Different goals than all you kids! ;)

Pffft, you've got all of a couple of years on me lady. I like my lace and have slowly found the brands that combine fit that works with styles that help me feel good about myself.

For purely functional/comfort I've got some Ibex wool briefs I love and wacoal makes a nice variety of practical briefs & boyshort styles. I really can't effectively tuck (bicycling being my main way of getting around) so that's less of a concern. My one sports bra is from prAna and I like it a lot, I'll be looking for more options in these as I take up running again post-op.

I don't have a favourite brand or style. I always buy what suits my needs. Always have a bra fitted when purchasing, a comfortable bra is essential. Even if I am purchasing a brand that I already own I still like to have it fitted. The store fitter's check and even adjusing the straps correctly I found was impotant. Often when I purchase a new outfit I will take it to the Lingerie store to find a bra that suits the cut of the top. I do prefer underwear with feminine touch, ie lace bra cups and front lace inserts in my panties, just a touch that I like. Same with panties they need to be comfortable, I do prefer high cut panties for everyday, (work skirts ),bu thave a fair selection of all types pending on the type of clothes, jeans, shorts, lighter or latte colours for more see through shorts//pants definatly no black. I do not find a g string or thong comfortable, and the few times I tried them I could not wait to get them off and fit a bottom covering set of panties.

As for styles that more suit mtf girls. I am not sure if there is a style that suits everyone. I found when pre op certain panties were uncomfortable or ride up my bottom, I thought it was my being pre op and just keep searching for panties that were comfortable, same with comfortable bras during initial hormonial breast growth, as the breasts settle then you will find bras are and can be comfortable. Even now post op there still is the issue of some panties are comfortable, some still ride up my bottom, some still roll around the waistband. Everything fits different pending on your body shape. I even find sizing to differ between brands. The best advice  Ican offer is to be fitted correctly, I usually even try panties before purchasing, naturally leaving my panties on underneath. A good relationship with a lingerie store is essential.
