In y'all opinion do y'all think it's pathetic to make a go fund me to get SRS?

Just curious to see what y'all say because I made one and feel so low about it.

Nothing wrong with trying it; best wishes for lots of success with it 😊

I have no problem with it. Pages to pay for necessary medical care that traditional sources refuse sounds like exactly the kind of thing it was meant for.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

Depends on the situation. If someone had the means and funds to cover their own surgery but still made a page that be low. But in your case, as with a large majority of transgender people one as the old saying goes ''has gotta do what they gotta do''. Living in Canada we dont have to worry about that stuff, and I hope America soon picks up the same system. I wish you luck girl, I hope this works out for you and you get the surgery you deserve <3

No. One of my male friends did it for a "class".... but it's been 3 years. It doesn't matter in the long run. I think most people donate and forget.

I have a friend who just did this to help with the final expenses.  I don't have any problem with it

I have no problem with it, I don't think you need to feel low at all. Been thinking about doing the same myself. As my cat always says, "It never hurts to ask."

I donated to a go fund me for someone from this site, and she didn't even say thank you, which shows lack of appreciation, and makes me think she really didn't need it.

I look at it this way, there are hundreds of thousands of people with varying medical conditions that aren't being covered by insurance who are on GoFundMe asking for support.  You are no different than them so seeking help from compassionate strangers to help fix what's wrong with your body is not wrong.

Isn't lobbying to get State and Federal Governments to cover SRS, as well as private employers, a way of crowdsourcing for getting it paid?
If you have the social media base, do it.  That is not pathetic.  That is using what is available to you for your health benefit.
pfffft.  no-brainer.

Honestly I think crowdsourcing srs is a great idea for your situation.  With as pretty as you are you will probably get a better response than you think.

I would do it in a heartbeat if i had a bigger network of friends to work with. That is the key to starting so if you have facebook and twitter do it and share. Definitely

No. Money's money. It all spends the same. If that's how you can find enough, then who cares? Go for it.

I wouldn't look down at it at all. I can completely understand the need to do so. It can be so horribly expensive... I am considering starting one for mine when the time comes...
