This is probably more what sucks about being a girl yet others see a boy. I have had this guy at where I work who makes vulgar remarks about girls who work there. He says them to me and I dont know if its that he thinks Im a guy or what. I had enough of it after something so disgusting that I had to say something. Im hoping that he stops. There is no reason I should put up with it nor possibly anyone else.

It possibly the more annoying part of all I deal with. It's like Im a girl but to the rest of the world they see a guy and so Im either expected to want to hear this or something. I feel like when I hear him talk about the others girls there like that, he's talking nasty about me. The feeling of being degraded is how I feel yet hey to him Im a guy and so he has no idea.

I want to say to him "would you say it to those girls faces? If not than why would you say it to me?". I can't say that as that says to him Im a girl which creates a bunch of questions. Just I hope he is stopped. I dont care if he sees a guy, Im a girl and he is a pig! I feel like Im being sexually harassed indirectly and the only way he would stop is if I tell my secret.

This situation appears to be sexual harassment in the work place. If you are in the US or any modern country, a simple complaint to your supervisor is in order. But first, you might consider telling this person to his face, that his comments are NOT welcome and you do NOT want to hear them any more. Most men would rather hear that from a co-worker rather than their supervisor. Give this guy a chance and stand up for yourself and tell him what you think.

BTW, He may be acting badly, but he is not a pig. He is immature.

I would ask him if he would like too be talked to that way and how would he feel if someone called him a pig or a ape or worse a knuckle dragging caveman. I don't go for that and you should tell him too stop or he might wind up in court with one of the women he is being vulgar about and being sued for everything he owns in a sexual harassment suit.

That's a shame. I definitely feel for you.

Unfortunately many people these days, probably most, excuse that sort of behavior and worse as
"locker room banter."

As Dani said, sexual harassment is against most companies' policies, or even illegal. Ask him to stop, without having to engage in "how would you feel if...". If he won't, talk to HR or management. And it doesn't matter your gender. Male-on-male conversation is still sexual harassment.

The proper response is " I was raised to respect other regardless of gender. I would appreciate if you didn't use that type of language around me as I find it offensive". If it continues, then consider one of the options above for reporting it to management.
