Hazelbean

Hi everyone. I'm a 47 year old transgender woman. I came out last year and have been on hormones for 4-5 months via a private GP. I'm waiting for my referral to the Gender Clinic. I'm fortunate that I am surrounded by strong women in real life and online. What I do crave is talking to my own tribe, to spend time with people who are on the journey. Living in the arse-end of rural Wales means I have no contact with other trans people. I've been on a few forums, but all seem quiet with only a few people ever posting.

Anyways, thank you for having me :)

Welcome to Susan's Place. One thing you can say about this forum is it's not quiet. As a moderator I try to read everything that's posted posted on the site but I often don't succeed. I figure each day the site produces between 8 and 12 hours of reading. Granted you may not be interested in everything that's posted but between posting in interesting thread and viewing the topics your are interested in, there is plenty to keep you busy. In addition, this server has been running over 10 years so you can dig around in the old post and may find even more of interest.

Hi Hazelbean,
I am from the West Country - well at least for part of the year. The warm part. The other part I live on the Ocean side (Great Southern Ocean) in Australia.

Hi Hazel of the Bean, lol

I'm Jeanette self appointed unofficial Susan's Place greeter. Older than you, MtF, on hormones 4 months.
Welcome welcome welcome from Oregon, USA.  Do come on in and make yourself comfortable. Soda and water in the fridge coffee and tea on the counter. Help yourself. Grab a chair. Yeah that big red overstuffed on is Devlyn's. No, no she won't mind though it may be worn down by her use that you may not be comfortable in it. The blue one? Sure that one is probably more comfortable, It's Michelle's and she's always so busy she doesn't have much time for sitting.
I see others have already introduced themselves and you've had a official greeting with links and all. Sip your drink and read some posts. Comment on them or just post your own. Tell us more about yourself so we can get to know you. Perhaps you have questions... go ahead ask away we'll try t give you answers sharing our experiences, hopes and strengths. Maybe even a little knowledge.

I hope you find what you are looking for and keep coming back.
Hugs,
    Jeanette

Hi Hazelbean!

Greetings from The Wirral.

Love North Wales!

I used to holiday there with my family when I was younger. Know what you mean  - but were all just a click away.
Steph.
