Trist

Hi everyone, my name's Trist (short for the latin Tristana), I'm 18 and live on an island near England. Sorry for being vague about my location, but I'm way too paranoid to specify which one seen as Trans people are a rare commodity around these parts!

I'm here to chat with some like-minded people, there's no one I know personally that I feel I can talk to about these issues in-depth because it's still not a comfortable topic for me yet. Contradictory to that however, my referral to a gender identity clinic was sent off about a month ago and my family that live locally all know about my situation. The waiting time is around a year for the first appointment so I'm just trying my best to hang in there for now. I really want to start presenting as female but I just don't have the balls (haha) out of fear of not "passing", bit of a perfectionist unfortunately!

I've got 3 IPL laser removal sessions under my belt, it'll be blessing when I don't have to worry with shaving anymore.

Apologies if my activity limited, I work a fulltime job in finance which at the very least keeps me out of trouble ;) They've even got their own gender neutral bathroom (which in typical fashion is out of service) and my team are all aware of who I am and are cool with it.

In terms of interests I'm fairly boring, love videogames, partying etc and I go windsurfing and sailing during the summer.

That's about it really, can't wait to meet some of you!

Welcome to Susan's Place. Your location is only important to know when we are trying to determine how to work the medical system. Knowing you are part of the UK, is sufficient to tell us the drugs that will be used and the delay in accessing care. For now, just take the transition at a pace that you are comfortable with. We have people who are doing it over years and others in months. Just let us know what you need and we will help you with it.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

Hi Trist,

I'm Jeanette, Mtf, and a but older than you. (almost half a century). I am also a self appointed unofficial greeter for Susan's Place. Oh okay so I'm a bit late in getting you unofficially greeted. I've been busy 2000 mile away from home visiting friends on a lark.
Welcome!  welcome Trist come on in. Have a seat. Here use my chair as I said I'm out of tow atm and that way you won't be upsetting Michelle, V M , Dena, or Devlyn by taking theirs. I'm just kidding they wouldn't mind unless they happened to be sitiing in them at the time.  I hope you've had time to meet a few of the other inmates err I mean members. There is a bunch of good folks here.  You can just read and comment on other posts or create your own. Got questions? Well then ask them.  We all want to see you comfy here and want you to like it here enough to keep coming back... Hmmm where have I heard that phase before? Keep coming back.. It sounds soooo familiar.
Oh well it'll come to me eventually.

  Hugs Trist,
    Jeanette
