Hey guys! So I have finally made the decision to begin my transition! (I wanted to once before but I ended up going back in the closet- long story) So I needed to pick out a new name for myself. Last time I was thinking about transitioning I was thinking of Mikayla, but this time around it just doesn't FEEL right, you know? I asked my mom what I would have been named if I had been born a girl and she told me I would have been Sonora Rose *last name*. I decided that I really like Rose as a middle name, but Sonora just didn't feel quite right either, plus it's a Spanish name and I am white as a ghost, so there's that too haha. So, after a lot of searching, writing names down to see how they flow, practicing the name in the mirror, etc. I think I've finally decided to go with Macy Rose *Last Name*. It just sounds so cute and feels so right! What do you guys think? Any other ideas?

Macy Rose!  I love it.  It's uncommon but not odd as a first name, and I think Rose is a lovely middle name.  Congrats and welcome to the world!

Welcome to Susan's Place. There are internet web sites  that allow you do see how popular your name was in your birth year. I don't remember what mine is but it's somewhere around 1 in 600. I like an uncommon name however the one thing you might want to watch out for is a name that wasn't used in your birth year. Not everybody gets the name right the first time and the site is a good place to get used to seeing it. Should you change your mind, we can change it for you as long as nobody else has that exact spelling(that's why you see periods, dashes, hearts and other symbols).

It's not really what I think of the name as it's about you liking the name. A wrong name is like being misgendered where as the right name brings a smile to your face when you hear it.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.
