My husband is getting facial hair, and it is coming in transparent blonde. He is incredibly frustrated by this, because he is getting really sick of us being read as a lesbian couple. Does anyone know a good way to either darken the hairs without making anything look strange, or to help the facial hair start darkening more? His hair on his head is dark brown. Well, at least it was before he dyed it punk mermaid.

I believe they make hair dye specifically for beards and I've heard of some trans men using it, you might want to look into that.

If it's coming in transparent blonde it's probably the vellus hair coming in. It'll turn into darker terminal hair in a few months.

This is the type of hair that comes in just before real beard hair. Its this way on all pubescent men, think peach fuzz. The vellus hair will fall out in a few weeks/months and then the real terminal hairs will come in whatever color they want; probably brown.

Try the boxed beard dye from the store. It'll lighten the hair without dying the face.

You could also have him try some beard oils and beard shampoos.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I dunno.
