Hello everyone!

I am curious about how much time some of you may have taken after surgery to heal before going back to work ? I work in a warehouse that can be hot during the summer, doing aerobic type of work rather than lifting.

I have 3 months approved, but I was just seeing if I could come back earlier ?

Thanks for the insight.

I got back to work approx on my 8th week post. But didn't do any lifting and was sore for the first month at work. 3 months you should be ok, but you will know once you get there since everyone will heal at different rate.

I took four weeks and I was fine (another week would have been better, but I was just very tired), but I have a desk job.

Went back at 8 weeks post op. First couple of days wore me out, but I was fine by the end of the week.

I have pretty much a desk job but walk about 5,000 steps a day at work and up to 12,000 steps. I was off 4 weeks. I tried to come back at 3 weeks but was stalled a week.

For Thai surgeons, is the recover a bit harder and the recover period a big longer?  Do you think going back to an office job (sitting down all day) 6 weeks after Chet would be OK?

i took 100 days off to account for travel delays, infections, post-op complications and emotional obstacles. I'll probably be going back in another 2 - 3 weeks, about 2-3 weeks earlier than expected.

I took 6 weeks off and I was feeling pretty good after 6 weeks except for the fact that my job at the time was up a few flights of stairs and I was clinging onto the railing for dear life for a few weeks to make it up and down the stairs. Don't rush your recovery is my only advice. That first month post-op is quite literally all about the vagina for just about 24/7.

I'm four weeks now and going back would be possible at my desk job but not a good idea. I'm thinking 6 weeks minimum at this point and I'm in decent shape.
Seriously, I'm just winging it like everyone else. Sometimes it works, other times -- not so much. HRT 2003 - FFS|Orch 2005 - GCS 2017 - No Regrets EVER!
