Quote from: Jane Emily on April 22, 2017, 08:51:25 PMThough I knew I wanted to be a girl since I was 4, I never liked playing with dolls. This was my favorite toy as a kid:I remember my mom took it away from me one day after me playing with it got on her last nerve and "accidentally" dropped it on my head. I don't remember playing with it much after that. Explains a lot.To this day I have lots of tools in my garage, love DIY projects, crafts, artwork, and Harbor Freight is one of my favorite stores. Also, I loved my old erector set.
Quote from: JeanetteLW on April 23, 2017, 08:54:52 AM I think it strange that I cannot think of a favorite toy at all. I can tell you I didn't play with dolls nor did I care for the army men and war toys all the boys my age were playing with. but as for toys I liked when I was a young child I couldn't tell you. As I got older I remember playing card games and discovering books. I grew up an avid reader. I remember marbles.. I had marbles. Some very very pretty and my favorites. I did play marbles with other kids. It's sad because I had to come back and edit this post when I remember the marbles. I think I've lost mine, Jeanette I now remember I thought my sister's paper dolls were neat and an Easy Bake oven. But of course I didn't get to play with those much.

Sticks can be laser swords, they can stir up puddles, they can be pretend fishing poles, they make a cool noise when you whip them through the air. My parents were nice enough to buy me all kinds of toys, but I liked the sticks. I imagine this is like whatever it is that induces cats to ignore their own toys and go play with the boxes.
