In my case there were two classes of people.

Those that know my wife and family: what does you wife think, is she okay?

Others: congratulations.

Biggest surprise: wow, welcome to the LGBT club.

My mom was the best. " As long as you are happy I'm behind you 100% of the way. Don't let anybody tell you how to live your life"

I broke down and cried

  The one I like best is. "You'll have to do better than than to make us to stop loving you"

My good friends in Missouri told me that. It still brings tears to my eyes.

There are a few people who are ignoring me.  Very few, though.  Mostly, it's "Congratulations!"  Some people I wasn't sure about have surprised me with their positive response.
