Hi Everyone,

Figured this was probably the best place to post this. Like the title says I'm 3 months 24 days post op. I'm feeling pretty depressed. I'm still bleeding and dealing with pain. Never in my wildest imagination did I expect to still be dealing this so far post op. I saw my surgeons yesterday they claim "It's healing and looking good." I know it's just the depression telling me it's not healing but that's kind of a hard thing to defeat when I have the tangible evidence of a bloody dilator. I'm sick of it and just want to be able to pull out a dilator without the blood. Anyone with a similar experience? Tips on what I can be doing different to help my insides heal?

Thanks,

Healing takes a long time and if you had some granulation, it will take even longer. Just make sure you use plenty of lube on the dilator and make the insertion slow and easy so you don't have any additional damage.

Gosh, here I am complaining about about 4 weeks and change. Now I feel like a whiner. Thanks for putting that into perspective for me and as a reminder of how major this surgery really it. FFS, looks worse, but GRS is has been far slower and more difficult to recover from and it not over by any stretch. No blood from anywhere, its just sore and tender at critical incision points.

Are doing any icing? Bromelain or NSAID's for swelling?

I dont think there are any magic bullets but time.

Seriously, I'm just winging it like everyone else. Sometimes it works, other times -- not so much. HRT 2003 - FFS|Orch 2005 - GCS 2017 - No Regrets EVER!

Nope I'm off of all the meds. I'm back to just estrogen. Swelling has gone down to almost nothing. The skin is becoming nice and supple. Things are a little hard in places but that too is slowly going away. It still itches a lot. Still plenty of pain too. I've just kind of coping with it. Just dilated not nearly as much blood this time. I guess it will eventually get there.

I am 5.5 months and have no blood when I dilate. I think the first 3 or so months I had slight discoloration from blood when I dilated.

FFS was rough but had relatively quick healing. GCS takes time, dilation and good nutrition to help your body recover.

I know when I started back in the gym with my trainer I had swelling, tight dilation and some blood when I dilated.
