I know the vets here are -- been there done that -- but we have so many visitors I wanted to put this out there.

If you are Mtf and are looking for female shoes, like sexy high heals, etc. Here are some tips. 1) male shoe size is essentially 1.5 sizes below the female shoe size. Sounds counter intuitive but true. So, if your male shoe size is 10.5, your female shoe size is 12. Wide width is the same, so don't add wide width to your female size if you don't in you male size. 2) You don't have to go to special trans sites to get shoes that fit and pay alot of money.

Payless.com, for example, has a huge section of women's shoes in sizes 11-13 for $25 or less. That covers most Mtf.

BTW, 3" high heals do change how your legs look .. slimmer, sexy .. awesome! :)

I love dresses!!

Nordstrom and long tall sally have sizes up to 15, but they cost more than Payless.

The 1.5 rule is not always accurate, in fact all of my heels except for two pair I got early on are size 11 women's.  My women's running shoes are size 12's.

In men's shoes I either wear a 10.5 or 11 depending on the manufacturer. So you do want to find your size.

Amazon is great for buying size 11 and above once you know the right shoe size.

My shoe collection ranges from size 9 through 11 so it really varies by the manufacturer. I gave up buying on line you never know if they will fit or not.
I agree, I've had pretty good luck with Payless and found some nice bargins.

High heels in wider or larger sizes are available at Torrid.com and AshleyStewart.com.
ALSO: rub a body lotion with lots of aloe and vitamin E into your legs. If you aren't on HRY, try Black Cohosh. It can help. I take it every day.

Another thing about shoe size, HRT can't change your foot bones, I'm not on it yet, but my feet went down a size just from losing weight, being heavy causes swelling in the feet, still got another size and a half if I want to fit into department store women's shoes, but here's holding out hope that losing another 35 pounds and HRT combined can make it happen. Probably not though... Destined to be one size bigger than I can buy in most stores I think, kinda depressing.

Oh, HRT can't change bones, but all manner of soft tissue is fair game, you might get a half size difference if you're lucky!
