Caffeine ?  does hurt HRT progress for MTF ???

Well it is a Diuretic?

Just wondering if Caffeine could hinder my results / conflict with the Spironolactone?

Just something that dawned on me.  Going in to doctor on monday so i will bring up and get his personal opinion.
I do know that it probably affects us all differently but was just wondering what You All had to say.

Thanks in Advance

I would like to add :

I generally only have Caffeine early in the morning before I  workout. 1-2 hours before.

Then usually eat to help my workout recovery ..... Then take make my Spironolactone and my 1/4 Propecia Tab together on top of my meal and 99.9% of the time never have Caffeine of any kind after the rest of my day.

Okay done

thanks in advance

There is no significant drug/drug interaction with Caffeine and Spironolactone.

Having said that, very high doses  (3 cups of coffee) of caffeine will cause some additional diuresis and may cause problems due to too much water loss.

With normal doses found in one cup of coffee, tea or soda per day, there should be no problem.

I drink coffee daily, normally two large cups, once in a while I'll have a third.  I haven't seen any differences related to drinking caffeine, and I don't remember any mention of related issues in the HRT information package I received and signed.

Must like anything you ingest, if the quantities are unhealthy for you while on HRT, they would have been unhealthy for you if not on HRT.  My layperson's understanding is that as caffeine is a diuretic, too much could affect your potassium levels...and as Spironolactone affects your potassium, well you see there is a connection which would need to be monitored.

I feel that on caffeine my breasts shrink somewhat but that is probably water cause it happens so fast. My skin becomes dry too.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005
