And tomorrow i am going into action.

There's a bearded dragon down at my local rep store and he is being kept in some awful conditions. MBD (metabolic bone disease) has already affected his mouth and he's unable to close part of it and there was something (possibly bone) sticking out of his back leg. I felt for the poor guy and just cant sleep at night knowing he's in that condition and knowing the pet store wont care who they sell him onto or that he requires vet treatment.

So i've gathered some money together to be able to purchase him with some left over for vet fee's. Hopefully i can haggle with the store keeper on his price since he'll be needing vet treatment.

So, hopefully tomorrow i will be bombarding you all with pics of the new family member. I want to do my best to give him the home he deserves and get him up to health!

^.^

One day i will set up my own reptile rescue

Well, I wish you luck, Wishy. It's cool that you are willing to help out that reptile. Most people would not give it a second thought.

I have a passion for them and i want to be able to help those that are unfortunate and give them the care they need.

I was going to wait and get another WD since Fayte died last week. But when i saw him in there the other day i felt really awful for leaving him and i haven't been able to settle my mind since. At first i didn't think i had the money to take him on or get him to a vets. But i've shuffled my corn into the large tank and i've cleaned and set up the spare one ready for him coming home with me tomorrow. And i've sacrificed my xbox 360 for some cash to be able to get him sorted.

Well, i picked him up today. What i thought was a broken leg, upon closer inspection turns out to seem like it's some sort of fungal infection as he's got lumps all the way across the bottom of his back legs.

I'm going to try and get him booked in at the vets this thursday. I've managed to get a pic of him, but on my phone as my batteries dead on my digi cam, so excuse the quality. But the image shows just how thin he is.

No names for him yet, so i'm open to suggestions. Since my female is called Terra (FF6 reference) i thought of naming him Locke... but not sure on that one yet.
