Congratulations on starting HRT but I think it really started way back when we got you to come out to your parents. I still remember the battle but it's worth it.

I more consider it now because with how much difficulty it took me to find a therapist and an endocrinologist it was seeming like I'd never get anywhere. lol

Curious how you're feeling after a few days, although by most accounts it takes a few weeks to really kick in.

Better to delete the dosages and ask for a PM, it's against the rules to post dosages.

I don't know myself, still a couple weeks away. Kind of hoping for an initially low dose, I've read some theories that starting with a low dose may help feminization in the long term, but it's based on speculation not empirical evidence. Since estrogen ramps up slowly in women during their puberty they hypothesize it's better. Although the same sources say that progesterone should never be used, and I don't agree with that...

Y'know it's funny, I'm a person who has never liked change. So everyday since I started taking the hormones I've been both excited and happy as anything that I've finally started cause I waited so long and now I got them! And scared to hell at the change at the same time. lol

Oh, That is normal. Soon you'll get over it and be happy as heck. Just wait till the boobies start making themselves known. You won't want to stop rubbing them with a big smile on your face.

I don't know if this is actually from the hormones, or the fact that I'm finally taking them, but I've heard some people can tell whether or not hormones are right for them within a few days, and personally I've been feeling a whole lot better the past few days. What my other meds didn't beat down of my depression is basically gone now, and I haven't been taking my anxiety meds and have only had one attack in the past few days when I used to have multiple a day.

Welcome to the wonderful world of estrogen. Yes that is what many say they notice first.

Enjoy it and enjoy the ride you've a long ways to go yet.

Many folks report many different things, though a general feeling of well-being seems to be pretty common.  I didn't really feel that... I got more tearful and ironically .. more problems with sexual libido.  (Too much, not too little).  I suspect we all respond slightly different.  This was a bazillion years ago though.. now It just keeps me from having bad headaches for the most part.

Congratulations on the next step in your life journey.  It was only about six month ago for me when I took my first dose and I remember other members telling me to sit back and enjoy the ride...and how it seemed like such a silly thing to say.   Well, they were right...I'm finally living, feeling, changing, being....and I'm actually enjoying the ride!

I had the same happening. Depression was gone and I started feeling happy for the first time in years. Big smiles all day long...

Only catch was since I started all three the same day, it took a bit to get used to Spiro (well 6 weeks of feeling very tired and another 6 after the dosage was increased). Now I am a good four month in and for most parts the positive effects are still there. No more T-fog in my brain, more focused, happier. A lot of people started noticing the mental change before anything else...

Congrats and enjoy all the goodness!

Weird but today I felt as bad as I used to feel everyday before starting. Dunno why. Guess it's still to early in to be all smiles.

It's pretty common to start us on a partial dosage to make sure we tolerate the medication. After the second blood test, HRT will be bumped to more effective levels.
