Thanks for this bit of news.
I appreciate the idea that there was some public push back on the street at the time.
Would be interesting to sit on a jury to consider the sentencing. Great that there was a conviction.
Any crime that includes violent touching has to be squelched by severe consequences.
When we were on the street and words were hurled from a car window, it seemed par for the course; when a big gulp type drink was thrown the rules changed. Throwing anything is wrong. In a way, I hoped they would stop so we could be more direct with expressing our opinions.
Then, my companion pointed out we were out numbered in a strange neighborhood. Oh well.
A suspended sentence does not work for me. Thanks again. Scot.
