I shave my underarms once a week, so today I went to shave them and noticed that I'm starting to grow more hair there, I mean it's not a lot, but instead of having just a round patch it's starting to become more of a line, but still the overall appearance of the line of underarm hair is very fine and there's not really much of it. Does hrt affect that at all or is it just my body maturing more?

Hmmmm, I would have thought in the case of us MTFs it's only effect on it was that it would reduce.
But my the sound of it you have very little like me, and it is probably part of age and the passing of time.
I have had no gain in Hair there however.
I hope you got checked out about your loss of weight you mentioned in another post also, the body can do funny things like gaining hair if something is up.
Take care, hugs Rachel

Like before hormones I only had a round patch of hair under my arms so maybe it is age since I'm close to turning 23 in a few months.
I did get checked and everything was fine. She told me that I'm probably eating to much and it's causing my metabolism to go into overdrive.

Hi Angélique,

In my case, HRT dramatically decreased the amount of hair growing in my underarms.  I can go for weeks without shaving under my arms and barely have anything there. It got rid of my chest hair, too. I was never a very hairy guy, though.

23 in a few months... I am 27 in few weeks D:
But it's good that you got checked, must just be body changing as you develop more as a woman
And that's about the metabolism, I wish mine would do that :')

i don't have chest hair, never have and still don't . Never had back hair either. Hormones got rid of my stomach hair though.

Not sure if this makes a difference, but I'm Italian, since genetics influences how hrt works.

I haven't noticed any change in my underarm hair, either positive or negative.

I had a small amount of underarm hair, and some on the inner thighs.  Maybe 30 other dark hairs on my body other than around the genetalia.  The underarm hair is gone, much of the inner thigh hair is gone, and the few other dark hairs have gotten thinner and slowed their growth considerably, and are almost invisible now.

I last shaved my underarms about 7 months ago. I've been on HRT for 9 months. You might try sugaring as it lasts for 4 to 6 weeks. It's easy to make and is reusable. http://hairremoval.about.com/od/sugarwaxing/ss/sugar-hair-removal-recipe.htm

I did notice less hair growth on arms and legs since starting hot. they also have become a lot finer than they used to be. I am also one of the lucky ones who never had much body hair.

Hugs

Fun fact I never had dark hair in my arm pits until I was 24 years old. I had some sparse hairs but they were soft thin and light (I am green eyed with black/brown hair) so it was kid of weird. I started to get more and more from 24-28 then it just settled. I still had next to nothing, in fact I would say a 12 year old boy would be hairier lol.

In February I shaved them and I just checked now, there is still pretty much nothing there. The only hairy bit of my body is downstairs, my normal head of hair (near my chest from a size 3 army cut in 2 years). I got teased a lot for being pale and hairless but it has paid off now.

A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting
