Im mostly posting this in the hopes that someone may have had a similar experience and could perhaps share theres.

So Ive been in transition for over 3 years now. HRT for a few months less. My process of getting GRS started almost emediately after I started transitioning.

I have Relapsing Remiting Multiple Sclerosis and have been terrified for 3 years that I will be denied by my surgeon. (Dr. Brassard)

I found out about 2 weeks ago that my file had moved forward to the pre op team at grs montreal and today I finally got a call from one of the team members.
She asked me If i had any mobility issues and what meds I'm on for my condition.
I do not have any mobility issues anymore although i did 2.5 years ago. I take Copaxone everyday.

So im hoping that if anyone has had a similar experience, particularly with Dr Brassards clinic, would you please share your experience to help me have an idea what to expect.

Although there has been no responces to my post Im going to update incase its relavent to other people.

Today I got the news.
There was only concernsabout my mobility for in the recovery house at brassards clinic and whether I still use marijuanna for my M.S.

Since I have not had any significant mobility issues that was not a problem and aslong as I do not use pot for m.s. management for 6 weeks prior to surgery date I am accepted for GRS by brassard.
I will be hearing back with my surgery date options over the next few weeks.
Also they pointed out that Copaxone (a multiple sclerosis treatment needle) does not need to be stopped prior to surgery and I can continue to take my copaxone even while at GRS montreal.

So CONGRADULATIONS TO ME. I will be getting my GRS very soon.

Im so relieved and excited.

I hope the information about there questions regarding my M.S. answers someone elses questions some day.
