After much thought and internal deliberation, I think I know I will never be true to myself and will live up to my responsibilities.
Take care all!!

Both paths can be very difficult. I wish you happiness in whatever you do. It has been a pleasure to meet and talk with you.

Many of us have been there as well. It took me over 50 years to make my decision to transition.  This is not an easy decision to make either way. Family obligations held me back.

Big hug! Difficult decisions indeed. I'm glad that you see your path.  :)

Bob, I wish you the best in your journey. As has already been mentioned, neither path is easy and I really hope that you can find fulfillment ahead. Safe journeying! - Anne

The funny thing is, I know it's what I have to do, but it is the opposite of what I want.  It's tough but hey, 50 years of practice. Funny, had things turned out differently I would probably would have followed my heart and what I know to be true and transition. Such is life!!

I could have written exactly the same thing myself.  It's not an easy path (but, there again, neither is the alternative as far as I can tell) but, as I've found out myself, it is do-able.

Good luck!

Thanks!!  What path did you take?  PM me if you'd like.

Bob..Best of luck with your path. Life is hard and wonderful all at once and you have to choose the path you believe will get you to the best possible conclusion of it. I sort of sense that the decision though might not one you are entirely sure of.

Wouldn't it be an awesome world in which a change in our gender presentation was simple, personal and not disruptive. Then you could pursue the one you want without ramifications.

Bob, I have to say that reading this breaks my heart.  Not because I'm suggesting you're making the wrong decision or anything like that, only you know what is best for you.  However, I know what my experience felt like for 39 years and I can't imagine trying to live the rest of my life with that struggle.

So I applaud you for having the vision and commitment to see the best path forward for you.  I wish you nothing but success and peace in your future.

It takes a lot of courage to decide on whatever path we must choose for ourselves or to support the ones we love....very often that decision and path have to be reevaluated throughout our lives.   I wish you the best of happiness and health in your life adventure.

Absolutely!  I figured the TV shows are ending in cliffhangers so why not get into the action!   >:-) :-*

Wherever your life takes you, know that everyone here will be around if you need a virtual hug to get through the day.

Best wishes wherever you go.
