If I stopped working out will the muscles in my legs turn to fat?

I'm not sure how that works because I workout my legs so much that they have gotten way too toned for my liking.

Muscles and fat can't turn into one another. You might put on a little fat around areas that were previously tone (if you stop working out), but i imagine it would probably be minimal if they're already tone and you've been on HRT for awhile. If you have muscle mass it might dystrophy slightly if you aren't actively working said muscles over a long period of time.

If you feel like they're too tone, stop working them. I'm sure it won't be long before you find you feel more comfortable wth them. (:

As has been pointed out, muscle cannot "turn into fat" because they are two different kinds of tissue. On another note, exercise is good for you, so I wouldn't stop working out for cosmetic reasons. Perhaps just do less leg work? There are some great free exercise videos on YouTube that are supposed to help one get an hourglass shape without the legs getting too bulky.

Muscle is made from amino acids and fat is made from lipids. These are two different chemicals.

If you are working out daily and trying to lose weight you may not be getting enough fat in your diet. Women should strive for at least 20% body fat and men should be around 10 to 12%. From your avatar, you appear to be very lean.

If your legs are way too toned, just reduce the intensity of your leg workout. I do not recommend stopping any exercise program that is working.
