I know Rengar has a really good beard journal going already but I noticed mine is growing in differently so figured I may as well make one too.

Just hit 5 months on T the other day and I'm pretty happy with my progress so far. These photos are after 2 weeks of not shaving.





I've definitely got that left side coming in quicker thing going on. Been using minoxidil 5% twice a day since my vellus hairs started covering my face about a month and a half ago. Moustache is coming in very slowly but there are a few visible hairs at least.

Very interested to see how it all grows in around the scar I've got under my lip.

Yo! I just hit 5 months the other day too! This week I've noticed that my facial hair grows in a lot faster when I shave and that I've got like real stubble feeling on my  under chin area. Its really exciting stuff. However I'm blond as all get out and you can't see any of my hair unless you look real real close.

I'm so glad there's another beard thread! Keep it up! Rub that face daily and get that blood movin and shakin!

@kings joker I definitely relate like it looks great up close or in the mirror but as soon as you get some distance you can't see anything

I never used minoxidil but from browsing beard topics by cis guys elsewhere I see some don't recommend it for beard as you either have to use it indefinitely or else when you stop the hairs stop responding or fall out. Just like for using it on the head I guess. Are you planning to use it indefinitely? Or just to get the growth "going"? (does that work)?

My original plan was just to use this one pack of six months supply to kickstart the growth and get to a point where it can grow by itself without help. Felt I needed it to a) make it easier to pass quicker and b) not look like my dad. So far I'm pretty happy with my results but I can't really say whether it's all because of minoxidil or whether it would have grown this fast on its own.

I read a few posts online saying that stopping use doesn't have the same effect on facial hair as head hair but if that's wrong I'm hoping by the time I finish using it (approx 10 months on T) I'll be able to grow most of it back without too much fuss.

If it stimulates vellus hairs to become terminal quicker that would be ace.

Today marks 6 months on T for me. Hair growth in these photos is three weeks, had to shave for a wedding. It has grown in significantly faster than the last time I didn't shave.









Included a photo of what it looks like from a bit of a distance (featuring my ripped hoodie).

I'm starting to get small patches of hairs in the middle of my cheeks. Moustache hairs are very slowly coming in darker but they are there. For whatever reason, it's started growing more on my right side than left now.

Overall, still happy with my progress, I just wish the chin would fill in more.

You can really see it going blonde now and my moustache is actually visible. Passing like 95% of the time, only really being called female if my hair is down or by old people.

Thanks, man. Yeah, still using it. Had a bad week and only used it once per day instead of twice but doesn't seem to have hindered any growth.

I love updating this thread and seeing just how far I've come. It never really seems like much when you have to look at it every day.





Just for reference, I'm posting some of my body hair photos because some people have said that minoxidil also affects that. This is the progress from barely any hair and all of it very light blonde.
