So question, is it possible to damage our destroy a breast bud by squeezing them intentionally hard? Last year, I was in a very dark place and believed being transgender was a mental health illness. I went off and on my estrogen and spiro several times. I finally got back on it and have been on it since last October. However during one of those off times I squeezed my breast buds (atrophying due to lack of estrogen) very hard and remember the feeling of it like breaking I squeezed it so hard. I transfer hurting a lot after doing that I think. I have not had breast growth since then besides a hard mass beneath my right nipple. I thought it was a growth, but a radiolology scan revealed this was breast tissue. The left side has no growth anymore however. When I was on Estrogen last year, I had definite breast growth on both sides. If there was damage, is there anything I can do or a doctor can to heal what happened and make my breast grow back ?

Welcome to Susan's Place. I am not sure anybody on the site knows the answer to that one and it's a question you should ask your doctor. Breasts don't always grow at the same rate or at the same time so it's possible this is normal but without a detail examination, we can only guess. I suspect to do damage, you should have had internal blood leakage that would have resulted in a large bruise or black and blue mark. If you didn't see this, it's possible the damage wasn't very severe and growth could still take place.

Hi Sierra,

I'm sorry I cannot help you with your question. As Dena said talking to your doctor is the best option as it's there you can get a definitive answer.
I can however welcome you to Susan's Place. ((Hug)) sorry, I do that. It saddens me every time I read of someone hurting themselves over the difficult gender issues we all face here. For myself I find it very difficult to imagine myself inflicting physical hurt on myself. I don't understand how it can possible a person cope. I'm sorry for those like yourself that do such things. It is so sad you've been driven to such depths of despair.
Although I don't understand the need to hurt oneself does not me that I have not felt utter despair myself. In my case however I didn't think of hurting myself, I thought to end the hurt I felt permanently. I am more than happy that I could not go through with my plans when they visited me in  my dark times. I would have missed out on so many things since those times. One of them being I would not have met my five grandchildren after working hard to repair the damaged relationship with my daughter.

Sierra I do hope you found what you need to stop feeling the way you did.

Welcome to the site, come on in and get comfortable and feel free to ask your question when you have them. We are all glad you are here.

  Hugs,
    Laurie

My guess is that wouldn't be likely to happen. Because one's estrogen receptors exist on a microscopic level and wouldn't be damaged  in any way.  Also, as breasts grow more estrogen receptors are constantly being created.

Unless you cut the breast tissue out, they can take a beating. Back at the start of my transition I had a cat who constantly walked on my left boob. My left boob is the slower growing breast granted, and for the longest time I was worried it was damaged, but it's still growing and being a normal boob so yours should be fine o.o'

If you feel sore, try using soft nipple shields inside your bra.

I am on an aggressive pumping regime, but the shields give me a lot of support & relief.
