Hello! My name is Alexa I'm from Georgia and I am MTF and pre-HRT (Hopefully not for too much longer though!) I'm mostly out, but I just want to come out to my grandma before I publicly come out.

I only really came to the conclusion that I was transgender in February of this year, but I had questioned it several times before and experienced plenty of dysphoria without realizing it because I've always tried to ignore and hide any negative feelings I have so I can seem much more positive than I actually am.

I finally realized who I was after talking to some friends about it and doing a lot of research, and I came to a solid conclusion when I recalled times in my life where I was wanting to kill myself with the hope that reincarnation exists and I could be reborn as a female. Since then I have come out to my closest friends and family, who were thankfully all supportive, and I've started seeing a therapist a month ago (my third session is tomorrow). My therapist recommended I come here for support and resources so here I am!

I'm shy but I'm always happy to talk and make new friends, and I hope that I can do just that here! ^_^

Warm welcome, Alexa!

I didn't know the term transgender existed until a few months ago  :eusa_doh:, but once I found out, it was simple for me to conclude that that is what I am. It does explain a few of the weird thoughts that have been going through one's head.

I'm FTM and pre-T ( which I hope will be ON-T by this Wednesday or very soon thereafter).

This is a really good place to get a tone of information and a lot of support. Everyone here is amazingly warm and welcoming, which does help with sorting out one's place in the world.

Looking forward to seeing more of you around here.

I'm from Ga as well but currently live in Florida. I'm mtf, just coming to terms with it myself. This is a great space so you are in the right place. I had similar thoughts as you and am starting to find my happy.

Welcome :) I'm new here too but from what I've heard it's a good spot for resources.

OMG! I'm also in Georgia!
I'm ALSO not out to my grandmother!
I also just came to terms with being transgender very recently!

Depending on your area (not going to be nosy and pry)....the Wellspings Counseling center in Roswell has AN AMAZING team of therapists. Mine is only in Roswell on Sunday's but she's flipping AWESOME! In addition there is a FREE trans support group there every Thursday from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM...I haven't been yet, but I'll be going this week. There have 14-19 and then 19+

Good luck on your journey and welcome to the forums!
