I transitioned about 10 years ago, with a name change.  My old name didn't pop up anywhere for years.. was not tied to my new name.

Now when you go to white pages and type my new name, it says "also known as: " then gives my full old name including middle name. 

So if anyone looked me up by name they'd immediately know I was trans and my old name.

This is giving me anxiety.  Is there any way to remedy this?  I've been passing for 10 years without a hitch .. I can't stand the information they are freely sharing with anyone that cares to do a simple search on my name.  They don't even have to pay for the information... old names are freely available.

Welcome to the site.  we don't get very many folks who have completed their transitions here.   I'm happy to see you here, and hope that you will be able to help out those starting out a little bit.

The various 'data aggregators' out there can be problematic.  I found that one of then had my old and new name.  There is usually an opt-out mechanism on each site.  Look at your contact info on whitepages.com.  Copy the URL for that page, and scroll to the bottom of the page. There will be a link there to take you to the opt-out system.  That will want you to paste in the URL of your contact info page on the site.  Then, it will ask for a phone number.  Include the area code, but no punctuation like parenthesis or dashes.  The web site gives you a number passcode, and will call you and props for the passcode to be entered on the phone keypad.  That should opt you out of their search system.

This should be criminal but it appears to be widespread. You can bet if your information is on one site that it is on others as well. Fortunately, most of these sites have a way to opt-out and remove your information. Some make it easy and some don't. Sometimes, Googling "how to remove my info from..." can give you some tips.

I went through this about six months ago. Not only do some of these sites know who you are, they also will list previous addresses, phone numbers, known associates, etc.

It is pretty disturbing. I didn't find any reference to the name I used 44 years ago in high school but I did find references to my maiden name, my ex-husband's name, several friends and old roommates names and places I've lived going back over 20 years.

I know this isn't helpful but you're not alone. 

Remove my listing from Whitepages?

Thank you ladies for the help!  I'll do that.  I wonder if there is some service I can buy that totally removes my name from as many sites on the internet as possible.  Want it all gone. bleh.
