Hi everybody,

I've been having my diode laser treatment to remove my facial hair and went there already three times.

Apart from the pain, those purulent pimples popping up after two days above the top lip etc. I think that I all of a sudden got grey hair stubbles which I didn't notice before. Could that merely be a falacy since the other dark stubbles have already been thinned out, making the grey onces more dashy? Or do some dark stubbles indeed turn in to grey after a couple sessions? Would mean "electrolysis" as the next step that unfortunately can't be avoided ....

By the way: to ease the pain, I always take two cold packs with me while asking this woman treating me to grant me a short break every now an then. It works pretty well. Also the painkiller that I usually swallow an hour before seems to do its job.

okay. Tomorrow I'm gonna join my next diode laser session. I will ask them what this is all about. Because electrolysis is what I wanted to avoid in the first place.

It has been a long time since my laser days but I recall that the grey ones and then the white ones appeared as the black ones were destroyed. It was a matter of the remaining hairs become dominant as the majority are removed. Then you start electrolysis but of course there are now less hairs to clear than before you began.

this is actually what I strongly assume! However, I could swear I didn't have even a single grey hair, but I wouldn't stick my neck out for that 

But tomorrow we'll be a bit wiser I guess ...

ok thank you I have been using my trai laser and it seems to be working ok

They are buggers of things to see...I didn't think I had that much either but at least 50 hours of Electrolysis worth!!! I seemed to have them  everywhere but I think you are right in your assumption...

it´s official. During my session at the beauty clinic today they confirmed that it is impossible that former dark hair turns into grey or blond after being treated by diode laser.

Meaning, the assumption the grey hair becomes more prominent while the dark stubbles are more and more disappearing, is correct. 

Electrolysis - here I come ...... !

When you have done some electrolysis and the dark secondary growth has started to come through, it suddenly looks like you have had the same thing happen only the other way round...I was looking thinking how many dark hairs I could see "sticking out" and there seems to be heaps but after further inspection it is only because there are so few greys that are left that the dark ones stand out against the regrowth which is much finer and much harder to see....you will be fine

This does make me wonder about how the graying process works.

My upper lip hair is like 99% dark, and my chin hair is maybe 30% gray. Rest of my body hair is mostly dark, head hair is mostly gray, though I dye it.

Why is it like this? It seems like if my body is running out of melanin, it would be running out uniformly?
