For me it isn't exactly a singular thing that they said. But one situation still sticks to my mind. My friends had decided to have a big get-together where we ate and fooled around in places. We had a new person in the group. Mind you, he was kind of quiet, listening more than anything. Of course, I was slightly cautious of him, but he didn't seem to be too much of a threat. Then the topic of me transitioning was briefly brought up, one of my friends had asked what would be my first big step to transitioning. Almost right then and there, he perked up. He became really lively after that. We ran around together and he asked so many questions about me. It wasn't really one thing he really said, I just really enjoyed his enthusiasm and curiosity about the subject.
And recently, he was wearing a bracelet he had made, it was the colors of the transgender flag. I thought it was just coincidence until he showed me the bracelet and said, "I wear this for you. And for the people who are also going through what you are experiencing right now."
