I am but also I have xxy Chromosome as well. I go to SOFT Southern Ontario Fertility Technology Clinic. I was also born with ovaries and uterus, so my estrogen levels are higher than most.

They gave me a list of several therapists that were known to work with the transgender community and provide SRS letters. I called a few and found 2 that would do interviews over Skyp. Both wrote my SRS letters after one interview.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. Who were the therapists if you don't mind me asking for future reference?

Hello quick question how many of you folks are doing informed consent at a doctor or clinic in your area?
I am, and have been for two years. It's so much better, in like every way possible. Glad I went that route, even though it resulted in criticism, tbh. :)

Hi rikki,
Tevyn Anderson and Laura L. Grimes both in Chicago. Google each of their names for all of their info.

My Therapist used to work at Whitman Walker... now in private practice.

I had considered WW too but ended getting a letter and chose a doctor a few miles closer.  If I would have not gotten a letter, I would have gone the informed consent route at WW...

I have some hopes for Johns Hopkins. This area is really missing a gut place for surgery and somehow I would prefer a place close by to avoid travel...

I, too, have high hopes h for JHU.  It would be great to have another option.

Johns Hopkins' Center for Transgender Health is now up and running, although it is still early days.  I'm scheduled for an intake interview for voice therapy.  I've been impressed with the quality of my interactions with them.  Very responsive and thorough.

I take the commuter rail to Back Bay, then a two minute walk. Really convenient.

Boylston St. for me too. Unfortunately I have to drive up from the cape ... which this time of year means mid-day and mid week appointments. But I'm almost to the 6month check up point and then switch to yearly visits. Fenway is amazing. Keep asking/wishing them to open a satellite in Hyannis.

I have a noon appointment a week from tomorrow at the Planned Parenthood center in Portland OR for HRT.  I get off work at 8 in the morning so will crash in my car for a while first...mmm, poor choice of words there!  There had better be an jumbo size cookie for me after they draw blood.

Various naturopaths I rang up offered IC as well, also OHSU, a research facility, but I live outside of their coverage area.  The naturopath people were all very eager to help me out, but I could get in at PP a month ahead of the rest.

Informed consent at Planned Parenthood. I'm also one of the lucky ones in the sense that not only do they provide informed consent but Planned Parenthood is within walking distance of my house.
HRT - 5.19.17

Planned Parenthood here as well. Mainly because I live in Central Texas. Options are limited.

I live in Charlotte NC but go to the Planned Parenthood in Raleigh NC.  Charlotte has a Planned Parenthood but wasnt doing  trans services at the time when I started.(they now are) I just continue to go to Raleigh though.  I wish more providers would be willing to do informed consent it just makes sense.
