So I found out my insurance covers GCS but I don't really know where to go or what to do next. How do I find a good, reputable doctor that's covered by my insurance (Cigna, USA)?

I feel so frightened and lost. Reading about all the pain and trying to figure out and understand all the different procedures. I'm so utterly overwhelmed but it's all I can think about.

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance <3 <3

The insurance company maintains a list of covered doctors so the first thing to do is check the list and see if any of the doctors are the ones you wish to have surgery with. The doctor you  chose and the material you have to work with will determine the procedure you will receive. You will only have a handful at best of surgeons to chose from so after you know who you can use, you will have a pre surgical appointment where the procedure will be determined.

If you have a high tolerance to pain, the surgery will not be very painful. You can determine this by your response to other pain like facial hair removal. If you tolerate that pain well, you shouldn't have excessive pain with surgery.

Like everything else in the the transition, just take it one step. Feel free to come back here after you take a step to discuss your next move. We are more than willing to help you deal with this.
