Mangothedog

Hi, 20 year old from Australia, have been on HRT for 4 months now and am getting FFS in the coming year :) I'm so glad I found this place, it makes me feel like I belong...

Hi, Mangothedog!

Welcome to the site.

It looks like you've found where we keep the good stuff in the forums.  ;D  The Australian Contingent will be along shortly, once their morning coffee kicks in.

Meanwhile, I hope you feel welcome here.

Hi Mangothedog - you're ahead of me on time zone and ahead of me on HRT.  My first endocrinologist appointment is two weeks from now.

FFS is fascinating, an option that wasn't even imagined in the past.  You have probably found the FFS forum here, it is very active.

Welcome!  And yes you definitely belong - glad you said hi.

Ha! So I guessed right. Mangothedog is just so Aussie :D

Susan's is a fantastic place. I'm learning so much here, plus the community of like minded people makes it a lot easier being in the minority in the real world.

See you around!

"and ahead of me on HRT"

and yet you're leagues ahead of me on passing...

"Ha! So I guessed right. Mangothedog is just so Aussie"

I disagree ;) ...and say don't beat yourself up.  The most important part of passing is not how you look, what you wear, how you sound.  It is how you feel.  I am still learning this myself.

One of the great things about transition is we don't have to follow a strict sequence (other than odd insurance requirements, depending on location and situation).  Three years ago when I wasn't certain about HRT I did other things - permanent hair removal, adjusted eyebrow shape with electrolysis, feminine hair style, changed my gym routine.  I also went for some soft-tissue work - blepharoplasty (eyelids) and Bellafill (semi-permanent filler).  And my avatar doesn't show my voice - I gotta work on that, just started voice therapy.

You'll do fine.  I think you came to the right place.
