Hi guys:) SO sorry if this is super long, I'm just super nervous right now, as I've never had surgery other than wisdom teeth taken out before. I also know this is my first  real post and all, but I've been a long time lurker and a lot of you have helped me with my transition (secretly I guess, lol) since I was 16, I'm now 22 and getting ready for my SRS.

I have some questions for some of the women that have had surgeries with Chettawut or Kaushik to  help put my mind at ease, (and my sister's as well, seeing as though she is traveling with me).  So, I apologize in advance if this is all information that has already been posted somewhere. Please correct my ignorance if I've been misguided on some information. Me and my sister both work at a 'breastaurant' chain as waitresses and I escort on the side to fund surgeries. I love both my jobs. But I'm completely stealth  at the first job, and  I also don't know of any girls or people to talk to about this seeing as though, I'm 100000% sure I'd lose my job having disclosed my trans status in my small town. So, I don't really want to risk talking about it to anyone I work with/friends with for obvious reasons. So, Anywho!!!  Here goes nothing. thank you for taking the time to read this!


1) Aesthetic: I'm REEAAAAALLLLY concerned with how things look, this is my main priority.   the reason I'm going to Thailand is because so far, from the photos I've seen all the best looking vaginas seem to have come out of Thailand ( or Dr. Kaushik in India, honestly I'm super impressed with how those on his website look. ) Obviously this is an opinion. I've read of people going to Meltzer and Brassard having realllly beautiful results, and I'm sure they did. it's just I can't find any pictures of them. I'm 90% sure I'm going to go to Chettawut instead, but also am super curious about Dr. Kaushik.  I also date  A LOT. But, I never disclose my trans status and usually let the relationship fizzle out before I have to tell them. I'm worried about aesthetics and outcome of the vagina and being able to have normal sex. I'm super worried about this, but I'm sure I'm in good hands with Chett or anyone I go to.

My question: How does your vagina, well I guess look, lol. Do you like the appearance? I've noticed in some Thai results the lips don't look ' () ' like what most vaginas look like and instead take on a shape that is more like: ' U ' . I understand that there is a lot of variation with vaginas. But, do you like your results? Do they look normal? and most importantly has it ever been clocked in bed? As a escort, that could be super duper dangerous, so it's my main concern.

2) Hotel: What was the hotels like? I understand you can choose between the three hotels listed on his site, I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay at the Dusit Princess. How did you go about booking for that long? Just online like I usually book my hotels only this time for the 30 days I'll be there? I read somewhere you can do that through Chetts office and they will help with that?

What was the room like? I understand that the Rama has rooms that are more convenient for a more lengthy stay as far as kitchen and appliances go, but is really cottage like. I reeeeaaalllly don't care too much to meet  up and socialize much as I'd rather just recover and leave lol.  so far the Dusit sounds pretty chill.  I guess I'm just wondering if the hotels were good for recovery and pretty simple to book and  stay comfortably in?

3) Language barrier: I can imagine this being freaking awful lol, was it terrible? How did you discuss your needs to the nurse, and people you interacted with on a daily basis lol.  Or was it mainly you just using google translate the entire time Haha.

4). Phones: Did your carriers work? Or do I need to get a new phone at one of the malls over there? I read the CDMA (Sprint/Verizon) don't work. But GSM does (T-Mobile/ ATT). Did you have any trouble getting your iPhones to work over there?

5) SRS Letters: I only have one letter from a therapist if I'm seeing Chettawut will that be a problem? Also The only letter I have is from awhile ago and it isn't addressed to any particular surgeon, will it need to be 'addressed' to  him or is he rather flexible? I just don't want to get there and be turned away after all this time. 

6) What was flying back like? I'm almost tempted to just stay another month around Bangkok after my surgery just in case ->-bleeped-<- hits the fan in those first few months (maybe 2, I know that's probably excessive lol. But a lot is at stake here and I know post op I'll still escort to pay for school, so it has to go well. )

I guess I'm just super overwhelmed, lol. Especially about notarizing things like documents and surgical letters. Just thinking about all of this is such a huge and daunting task!!!

Sorry we are late in getting back to you. i am surprised no one has replied so far. I don't recognize the name Kaushik as well but I know we have  number of members who went to Chettawut. As a matter of fact, at least one has done a sort of blog/diary of her experience. It is rather long but a lot of information. Down side is not every patient will have the same experience everywhere.  You could try going to the category where you posted this(Gender Correction Surgery) Then go to the top right of the page and do a search using each doctor's name.

I am only starting to research which dr and therefore method I want to approach. Hope this helps.

Hi Skittlez, I don't log on very often, but I will throw in my thought's if they are of any help, as I had surgery by Dr Chettawut, although now over 10 years.

Most importantly I feel is that you mentioned, your sister is coming with you-essential. I did it alone and at times I WAS ALONE. just having someone to talk to , to re-assure everything is ok, or simply getting you a drink, food, laundering clothes, all very hard on your own.This also helps with the language barrier, most of the care staff spoke english fairly well, but I had to listen carefully to ensure I heard correctly, even when getting out and about there is a fair population who speak some english (I found that), but I havent travelled back since my surgery.

i did have 2 letters for approval for surgery, which was required in 2007, and I arranged all my room bookings prior to my arrival all with the assistance from Dr Chett's who were ever so helpful.

As for my aesthic looks, I personally think it is prefect. Initially in the first few months, I had concerns, that my lips were not exactly symetrical in looks, but really it's fine. When looking in a spread position with legs bent at the knees, a slight movement with either leg changes the shape of the lips anyway.  During the first few months you will look at your new bits alot, because you have to for dilation and cleaning and secondly I looked because I wanted to, I used to love looking. But now ten years on, The girls at the beauty palour, would see it more than me, when I get the hair lines touched up, apart from showering, toilet or with my man, my ladybits are covered with my panties. I do not need a mirror now for the weekly dilation, as I know my body and can just insert. nowdays my life just consists of living life as me. I certainly know how I got this body, but I could never imagine what it would be like living in any other way.I do feel that my results looked best at possibly 14-16 months after surgery, and now it is just part of me. Everything is at my expectations or beyond, feeling, looks, peeing, all easy and natural.

I hope I was of some help, but I was never intending to push in any way in towards you making a decision, this is a very personal thing and must be decieded by yourself only,either your surgeon or your surgery decision.

Okay, so I'm just now figuring out how to quote and reply haha, so bare with me if it looks ridiculous! You both answered  most if not all my questions 🙂 Thank you for your reply! Yeah I feel like it isnt setting in how serious the recovery is, a 20 hour flight also, I could barely handle flying to San Diego from Indianapolis, so I think that flight will really hit me, I dont know how girls dilated in those 20 hours. I've never been outside of the U.S. and I cant imagine doing that alone in a foreign country where I dont know anyone, no clue how you didnt have an anxiety attack gosh I'm just super duper overwhelmed about it all. lol but I'm sure both surgeons really make things easy.  As for the aesthetics,  I'm glad you're happy with it!  from what I've been hearing most people who see Chett seem to be really happy, and reviews of his are always easy to find. Plus my sister showed me hers and hers looked like a quite a lot like some of the results I've seen, she also thinks every Post op result i've showed her from Thailand looked natural
