Hi,

I'm almost decided to do my FFS with FT since they are based just a few km away from my place (Madrid), they are careful with the Adam's apple in case I go to Yeson in the future (undecided yet) and they were kind enough to have a talk with my orthodontist in order for everyone to follow a common approach and not step onto each other's feet, which kinda makes me feel a bit in debt with them.

However I'm not sure I like the fact that they have a reputation of being conservative.

I may pay them a second visit in the next few months and I'll talk about this with them but if I'm going to be outright rejected I might as well save me the trouble or even look elsewhere (VdV being the next choice). It could also happen that I may be told "Yes no probs we'll follow your request" and then I'm given their standard natural approach, but I'm guessing that that behaviour would earn them a bad reputation pretty quick. I also don't have a clue about to what extent are surgeons happy to go out of their comfort zone to keep a potential patient from looking elsewhere.

So, has anyone talked to them about getting a more aggressive work?

I think they are quite clear about what they do and do not. So if they will not do some amount of surgery for you because they believe its not right, they will tell you so and not claim to do it and then do something else. Last time I was in a consultation with them we almost argued a bit over something I wanted a more aggressive approach and we did not come to an agreement, so they left out this part in their quote, assuming that since we did not agree, I would not want it? I am going to Marbella now for another consult, which then includes the 3D scan as well as a consultation with a different surgeon, so I hope we can find a way to make this work, but so far I think they would rather accept a patient to go elsewhere than to do something they do not want to do. They have a 6 month waiting list as it is, without having to tell patients what they want to hear and then doing things differently.

Sadly I am not so sure about other surgeons - I had one telling me that all will me amazing and yes he will totally feminize my face and so on, but I do not know how much of this is basically just talk. Every surgeon seems to claim that he is great and will do the best and so on...
