QuoteYou're giving this women way too much power over your life. I know it hurts, but what will hurt you more is if you let this incident control you. There's a minority of people on this planet that are simply jerks that seem to get their kicks out of being mean. They don't deserve a second thought, forget her and live your life for you, not her.
Paige is spot on here. We've all been in your shoes at some point so we totally empathize and validate the way you feel. Now you have to let it go. You're doing that disrespectful woman's work for her at this point. You're the same person you were before it happened and you'll probably be the same person tomorrow. The fact is you have no idea, why or how this woman clocked you or if it might have been an innocent mistake. You have no idea what was going on in that woman's world.
Personally, I think you did the right thing since you were working by not giving her the satisfaction of visually rattling you and provoking a regrettable exchange. Some people might be willing to purposely create a public confrontation in a business establishment for no other reason than to get a discount of freebee. You could have been an unsuspecting target of a scam that you unknowingly stopped in it's tracks by not participating. OK, I'm seriously just making stuff up now.
You go Girl!
