I downloaded the Voice Pitch Analyzer app to objectively measure my voice over time.

And there have been definite changes. Alas, I can't post pictures here without a 3rd party account, so I'll just list the data:

DateMin avg. Pitch (Hz)Max avg Pitch (Hz)Average Pitch (Hz)Min PitchGender
14-07-17186240212159 mostly female
19-07-17170238200148 mostly female

24-07-1717422219693 mostly female
25-07-1716622119287 mostly female

The voice drop continues as seen in the table above. I have hit the andogynous level today. Yeah! ;D

I also noticed to my great surprise and almost shock, that my Adams apple feels quite a bit larger. I palpated it absent mindedly while playing with my dog this afternoon, and it felt distinctly larger. I checked it out in the mirror and there it was. I can see it move up and down while talking. Before I only saw some skin movement, now I see a pointy bulge. Whoa!

I think it must be due to the amount of T that I'm on. In Australia we don't dabble with the low doses, unless requested.   Which is much higher than the doses that are usually prescribed in the USA, going by what is being shown by FtM's on youtube.

I am somewhat concerned about the speed of change in my voice, mainly because there is anecdotal evidence that rapid change can result in vocal difficulties such as lack of projection, chronic hoarseness. None of this has been studied using scientific methods of research yet.  To avert such possible difficulties, I'm starting with a speech pathologist in two weeks time who is experienced with FtM singers. I'm not a singer, but I want to make sure I have a strong voice.

Exciting stuff, Dan!

I've seen changes here as well. I don't know about the dosage theory explaining all of it, though, because I think I'm on a fairly normal or low (as far as the US goes) dose, and going on day 11 I've already dropped from female to androgynous according to the Voice Pitch Analyzer app (average was 192Hz on the 22nd--three days on T--and is 179Hz now). I think a lot of it is genetics as well.

I'll make a table of mine as well once I've got a couple weeks worth more of results. I'm only been checking weekly so as not to discourage myself if there are no changes, haha.

I'm sure genetics plays an important role in relation to speed of changes in all areas. My doc tells me that she has had patients who had to wait up to four months before anything started changing for them, and they were on the same dose as me.

Well, I'm all for quick responses in general. I'm really wanting facial hair to come in as soon as possible. However, that is usually the last to come in according to the experience of others.
