Hello,
My name is Dona. I'm 25, from England originally, currently living in Spain. I've known my real gender from a very young age, but I grew up in a very religious household (Christian) and so didn't feel comfortable being 'out and about'. I'm bored of cowering in the shadows and want to embrace the transgender community and my identity as part of it with both hands. I would love to make some friends who understand the issues I face and the conflicted emotions that are part and parcel of living with our situation.

That's all I can think of to say as an introduction. If any people are in Spain, I would particularly love to get to know you. I don't have any friends here since I moved quite recently from London.

Ciao,

Dona

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Hi Dona,

I'm Laurie MtF and I like to think of myself as an unofficial greeter here. (Hug) and Welcome to Susan's place! You want people of like mind who share a common interest with you? Well my dear girl you are in the right place. Come on in!. I'm in the USA so I guess we won't be getting together for tea. But I am here for you and will love to hear more about you. After all that is how we get to know each other. We talk and share what interests we have and we share what problems we have too in hopes of gaining support and help for them. And by doing so we might also be helping someone else with the same issue that is unable to talk about it themselves.

  Again welcome to Susan's.

Hugs

Hi Dona!  I am MTF, I live near Seattle and have greatly enjoyed several trips to England.  I have been in Spain one time (Barcelona).  I might go to Spain for FFS - I will probably get that procedure within a year.

I wasn't raised in a religious household.  My parents are from different cultures and my father rebelled against his parents' religion.  When people ask I tell them I am not, but almost could have been Buddhist-Mormon... The small town I went to school in (an hour north of Seattle) was traditional.  Several school teachers ignored the concept of separating church and state, and emphasized Christian beliefs in a public school.  In 1974 I got into an argument with my 6th grade teacher over that, the argument escalated to the point my parents had to defend me against the school administration - and I won.

And you do have friends who understand - now that you have joined Susan's.   ;)
Assigned male at birth 1963.  Decided I wanted to be a girl in 1971.  Laser 2014-16, electrolysis 2015-17, HRT 7/2017, GCS 1/2018, VFS 3/2018, FFS 5/2018, Labiaplasty & BA 7/2018.

Hi Dona!

I'm FtM and live in Australia. I used to live in Germany which would have been closer to Spain to drop in for a visit.
As Kendra said, here at Susan's you have a lot of friends and most of us can relate to each other's experiences, past and present.

Most of us have lived in the shadows for far too long. The sunshine is beautifully warm and embracing of each of us.

See you around!
