Hey guys,

So I was wondering for those of you who take T gel, what happens if you miss a dose or two? My pharmacy messed up so I'll be missing one to two doses. My T levels are already very low, even though I've been on T for 11 months. Will I get my period back because I am missing a few doses? Will I revert at all? I'm so upset that this happened.

Gel is usually a daily thing, so missing 1-2 days isn't going to be a big deal.

I had to be off T for several weeks prior to surgeries and had no issues.

I missed several weeks early on and did get a light period, but I've been told that we don't revert. I also felt tired and moody, but even that took several days to kick in. I was incredibly upset too.

You'll just feel tired and a bit moody and not yourself; but that's it. Have had to miss 6 days of my T due to the pharmacy not being able to get a supply in.

Don't double it next day if you miss one, just ignore the missed day. It's not like missing a contraceptive pill, not even if you still bleed.

Try not to miss doses esp early on in taking T - that is the advice I've been given by the GIC - as if you're erratic with it over several weeks you may disrupt voice drop etc. If your pharmacy isn't reliable (like mine) try to keep back a reserve supply. I keep back a minimum of a month's worth, just in case. 3 months, usually.
