I hear that Kaiser won't pay for electrolysis unless you are on HRT. Is that true? I'm not sure I want HRT and having to do lots of explaining in a few months - playing Ward Cleaver right now.

Kaiser does not pay for facial hair removal. They will however pay for electrolysis needed for GCS. At least that is my understanding. Michelle_p may have more insight.  The kaiser website lists the services available. Just search "Transgender" on their website.  https://thrive.kaiserpermanente.org/care-near-you/southern-california/transgender/  Their only requirement is that you register for transgender services. I was able to get counseling, HRT, voice lessons, lifestyle coaching and can get an Orchi if so desired. If I were younger I could apply for certain surgical services that are approved on and individual basis.
