So, I am of East Indian origin, 28 years old and been on HRT for a year now. I have kinda strong cheekbones ( I don't know if they're high, never understood the 'high' cheekbone thing). You could say that my zygoma resemble that of East Asian women. So I wasn't aware of this before transitioning because I was kinda chubby and the fat distribution on my face was male. 6 months into HRT and I notice that they're really pronounced due to the fat deposits on the cheekbones.
The section along either cheekbones is the widest part of my face, and it makes my face looks really wide because there is more horizontal than vertical growth pattern on my face.
Now, I'm not saying that its a bad thing, but it definitely messes the width of my face, and when I get jaw reduction, its going to look like a hard diamond-shaped face instead of a soft-diamond shaped face (where the cheekbones are strong enough, but not too strong that one would be able to draw a straight line along the temple to cheekbone -- rather I see in most women its a gradual soft curve or a slightly bent line, at best.)
I was wondering if anyone here has ever had zygoma reduction as part of FFS owing to its prominence. Zygomatic arch reduction, to be specific. Thanks
