Kamisori

Hello my name is Kami

I'm terrible at intros and bios and the like but I was suggested to make one here and I've been trying to get over things that I find make me nervous.  I'm not even sure what it is that makes me so nervous.  Recently I've started to identify as non binary as I don't feel like a man but can't say I feel like a woman.

I came here to learn about myself, what it means to be trans or transition and to find out if it might be right for me.

What do I put in these things?

Guess I'm 28
Assigned male
Low self confidence and worth
Like cats
Play videos games
Enjoy fencing and light saber battles
Magic the gathering has been one of my biggest hobbies

Putting myself out there hoping to learn something about myself.  I made a list of reasons why I might be trans and shared it with a friend she told me I should post it on here, now here I am after a few hours of building up the courage.  I'm very new to LGBT groups and such so please forgive me.

  Hi Kami,

I'm Laurie, MtF and a self appointed unofficial greeter here. Welcome to Susan's Place (Hug) I want you to know that we don't bite new member's heads off or stick them on stretching racks. Nor do we try to intimidate people. No far from it. If you find someone giving you inappropriate comments just hit the report to moderator and one of them will look into it and take appropriate action if they deem it necessary. So you are safe here, Better yet you are wanted and needed here. So quit your peaking around that door and get on in here will you?  Come on in and have a look around. Make yourself comfortable and browse the wiki and links  links above as they have a lot of info you might be interested in. Read the forum topics and threads that interest you and by all means relax.
You will find us a pretty friendly and helpful group once you get to know us and we get to know you too.

Welcome again Kami. Glad your friend told you to come visit.

So now just where is this list you talk about?

Hugs,
    Laurie

Hello Kami, welcome!

I think your intro is just fine,  ;) no need to be nervous but it's understandable.  I never shared much about myself online (I am not even on Facebook) but what I discovered here is - by bringing things up I have learned a huge amount about myself.  I owe a significant amount of my self confidence to this place and the people here.  Several important decisions I made were after seeing other members' experiences.  I have found the details of transition are so much easier after realizing I am not alone, and having met so many here who are going through similar things or have in the past.  And I can confirm you do have some self confidence - you proved that already by posting here.  It really does get easier.

Being non-binary is quite cool - several of the most creative individuals I know are non-binary.  That's why it is called a gender spectrum - there's no reason to limit yourself with outdated definitions of gender identity.

One thing we provide to all new members is a set of guidelines and information - things to help you navigate more quickly, and to help keep things running smoothly.  I will add this information here for you.

A Cautionary Note:
This is a public forum so please remember when posting that The Internet Never Forgets, and the various web crawlers and archival sites out there may retain information that you post.

Don't worry about Laurie.  She's (mostly) harmless.   :)
I'm a 65 year old male who has been thinking about SRS for many years.  I also was a  full cross dresser for a few years.  I wear a bra, pantyhose and nail polish daily because it just feels right.

Started HRT April 17, 2019.
